Blaming the GM when the coach decided ML wouldn`t work out in AZ.Who`s damn fault is that? Whiz screwed the pooch and its time to pay the piper. So bitch about the one who cut the vet backup.

I doubt ML will ever through a pass with his new team while on a one year contract. He may never start a game in the NFL. Had we kept him we would have owed him nearly 11 million dollars. Cutting him was the right thing to do although I doubt the 11 mil we saved will go anywhere but into the owners pockets.

This

As much as I love what Warner did for us, I dont like the concept of bringing in QBs in their mid to late 30s and using them as duct tape for the position. For once, Id like to see this team successfully groom a young QB out of the draft and lead it to success for 10+ years. With Warner, he did not really get it going until he turned 37. Then he retired two years after. Fortunately, his success came at a great time, which was during the failed Leinart experiment. And no, Jake Plummer was not a success story.

My feeling is we are coming closer and closer to getting that franchise QB which so many teams in the league have. It may have to take one more year before we find him. Derek is not the answer and it is unlikely Hall and Skelton are either. Next year's 1st round pick should be geared towards getting that franchise QB not named Locker (overrated). Hopefully in that scenario we get "Lucky" ;)

We definitely need an experienced backup QB but do not be to quick to write off our two rookie QB's. None of us have seen them enough to make such a quick judgement. It is likely by just the odds that they will never be a whiz bang QB but it is to early to make that call.

Since we are on the topic of complaining about stuff that didn't happen in the past, why the hell didn't we lose another game in 1997 or just trade up instead of trading down and get Peyton Manning? I mean we would be Super Bowl contenders with Manning at the helm. I was screaming and screaming for it too, but hey they don't listen to me either.
Nice post! ;)

I like Ryan Mallett from Arkansas and they play the best team in college football this Saturday in BAMA.Should be interesting.
I can very easily see this team passing over a potential QBOF to fix this crappy Oline...that has been crappy for the past 7 years.

I screamed for him and everyone here insulted it. Now he only is tearing it up now...He would be perfect for our offense and line. We would be an EASY playoff contender with McNabb. In fact a few ESPN guys said we would have been a Super Bowl contender with him.

Well if ESPN said it then it must be true...

We'd probably have the same amount of threads about cutting McNabb as we do now with DA.

But at least there wasn't a run-on with "we should've kept ML".

Let us know when you find a "way-back" machine so we can go back in time. Otherwise this is becoming worse than fantasy football excuses

Maybe they'll realize they haven't been able to fix it with the draft yet, and go with a QB(although that hasn't worked well either).

McNabb 1-1, tied for the division lead.

Derek Anderson 1-1, tied for the division lead.

Yeah, I guess we can just re-hash the same subject over, and over, and over, and over, and over.

But I must admit you always seem to be right Mr. Hindsight.

So, how do we get Kurt Warner to un-retire. Then trade Derek Anderson for Marc Bulger, and trade Larry Fitzgerald for Donovan McNabb.

I mean, one out of the three have to pan out right ?

My goodness these threads lately have been like "I told you so" orgasms.

How long do we have to deal with this crapola till people realize it is 2010 and this is there Arizona Cardinals. Jeez.

Cards blew their chance with McNabb IMO. There is no way Snyder lets McNabb walk out of Washington.

Never know. If he really does want to play here he may make the choice for himself. I'm not to optimistic either though. If they have a really good season, he'll bond with the Redskins.

The game is upon the hill in Fayetteville, Arkansas. That will help us but I fear the Bama running game will be on the field a lot. There are probably several top ten NFL picks in this game and maybe #1. On national TV so should be fun to watch.

I fear this scenario as well. Fear it even more considering I at this point in time have some doubts about their OL drafting ability and/or young OL coaching ability.

As for McNabb hindsight is 20/20, if I knew that DA was going to be our starter I would have liked to made the move as well. But there are some things to consider. If Dan Snyder cant even get this guy under contract long term I fear one of two scenerio's - McNabb at the age of 34 is being way to greedy even for Snyder or McNabb already has visions of going somewhere else next year and would never sign an extension any ways. Finally there is the little idea of why you didn't bring this topic up last week when McNabb stunk up the joint with 40% accuracy, 0 TD's, and 60 QB Rating.
