You are Bidwill, What are your options if Cardinals finish between 7 and 9 wins in 2021?

Your not asking the right question. How much profit do the cards make this year with fans back at games and the introduction of on site betting?

If they make record profits, the teams record doesn't really matter. They will fire some people, but Keim will stay, Kyler will get paid...and the world will keep on turning.

The only thing that will ever force MB to prioritize winning is declining ticket sales and profits.

Depends on how we lose some of those games. If we are getting blown out by 14 or more points a lot, are scoring in the low teens most games, and losing more than half our games then we need changes. I might reconsider if we have 8 or more wins though. 7-10 record won't be OK and dang well everyone goes starting with Keim, KK, and anyone else whose name starts with K.

I personally don't want us to fire everyone, then go back to winning 5 games while new coaches and personnel bring in all new systems for everyone to learn. We have done that way too often. As long as we are about .500 and close to making the playoffs, there is hope for enough improvement in the off season to get us over the hump. I am too old for us to start over for the dozenth time.

Being competitive every week and constantly having a chance at the playoffs in the last week or 2 of each season, seems better than usual for the Cardinals. After all, we are not and never will be the Steelers or Packers.

Just be competitive and keep learning and growing. I think our roster is maybe as good as I can remember. We have some really good players now. Our top coordinators just have to get it done.

Why does everyone hate Keim so much? I get it there are some things that could be better but dang. He has tried and gone after the best. He brought Warner here. he brought Hopkins here. Watt here. He has tried to make big trades. We have the talent. If we lose it will
Be in Kingsbury. There are 7-8 coaches that could win 10 games with this roster. I mean barring injuries we have a solid team.
He has been terrible at drafting which has forced him to go after free agents which inflated your cap. Simple as that. It’s not sustainable because we don’t have the benefit of rookie contracts.
Signing guys like Watts and Green will either turn out as genius or a complete disaster which might( should) get him fired.

Graves brought Warner here in 2005, 8 years before Keim took over. He’s been GM thru 3 coaches, 2 of which are terrible. His drafts are garbage. He hedges way too much.
which costs a fortune. He’s constantly criticized publicly by former players for poor handling of their contracts.

The reality is Keim isn’t getting fired after this year unless it wins 5 or less.

Personally, if they don’t win 8 I’m firing both! I’d kick the tires at GM on Peyton Manning & Will McClay. At HC I try like heck to hire Riley at OU or hire Jim Caldwell, who’s a solid HC that has won in this league.

The guy won 5 out of his 7 seasons as HC. That’s not laughable bro
He’s the epitome of nothing special... not hard to win games especially in his first two seasons with Peyton Manning under center... that’s who really ran that team. No thanks.

I agree with Bucky. National and Local media talk like it is solely Kliff's fault if Cardinals fail.

It has to be firing both Keim (and restructuring the front office) & Kliff, barring some really surreal injury scenario, or illness.

Considering the roster is going to require a remake, it's going to be time to bring someone in and equip them to determine what the structure of Kyler's contract is going to look like.

So you'd rather continue with mediocrity as the ceiling than have a chance to get better? Check.

Honestly, how anyone would be okay with keeping this crew if we don't win the playoffs. 3 years with a star young QB i more than enough time to prove you aren't the coach or GM we need. And why would anyone think firing them and hiring new ones would automatically lead to a 5-win season? There's no logic behind that leap in logic.

There is a world where we only win 5 games this season. Tons of soft tissue stuff. Injuries all over the place. Covid. A tough schedule. It really isn't that big of a stretch.

My personal feeling is that we go 7-10 and Kliff is shown the door. Keim gets another 3 years.

If Kyler gets hurt..... All bets are off. We may win 3 to 5 games.

He’s failed at the most important aspect of his job - the draft. It is literally the backbone of team building. He’s also failed in assembling good coaching staffs twice now. Whether you think wilks was Mikey’s choice or not you can’t ignore keim was part of that process. He’s had his best success with trades, but those are most often the most expensive manner in which to build a franchise as they cost both high dollars and draft picks compensation. His free agency has been a few keim time one-year signings of old guys early in his tenure and a few splash signings but not in any volume or magnitude to have thus far made a significant splash. And he’s embarrassed the organization with the dui. It’s not “hate” for him, it’s recognition of his failures.

They will stay the course..because Kyler only has two years to really prove he belongs.

You can’t bring in a new GM/coach and force a run only QB on them.

If Kingsbury can’t make Murray work in the NFL then no one can.

Even though Keim/Kliff are on the hot seat they are all tied together and Murray isn’t at that stage...yet.
Don’t buy this for a second

If the team makes the playoffs no changes are made.

After this season you have Kyler Murray under contract for two years (fifth year option). A two year window to win the Super Bowl before he signs that cap crippling mega contract. That is when you bring in a new coach from outside the organization. Being outsiders is the key because they don't have preconceptions and a vested interest in the players. Bruce Arians, Doug Pederson and Sean McVay all made the Super Bowl in their second year.

You can't fire KK and keep Keim. You just can't, not and claim to have any kind of competence or football acumen as an organization. How many coaches does one lackluster GM get to hire?

I was curious about just how much draft pick compensation Keim has given up over the years, so I compiled a list of his trades from pro-football-reference.com. Gotta say... the picks given up didn't amount to much. (Which is of course not to say that no good players were available, or that the compensation given up had no value.) About the only player of note taken with the picks was Brandin Cooks. Keim has kinda crushed it with his trades:

2013
- 6th (David Quessenberry) & 2014 7th (Shelby Harris) for Carson Palmer & 2013 7th (D.C. Jefferson)
- 2nd (Manti Te'o) for lower 2nd (Kevin Minter) & 4th (traded, Ryan Nassib)
- 4th (Ryan Nassib) for lower 4th (Earl Watford) & 6th (Andre Ellington)
- Anthony Sherman for Javier Arenas
- Levi Brown for conditional pick (not conveyed)

2014
- 1st (Brandin Cooks) for lower 1st (Deone Bucannon) & 3rd (John Brown)

2015
- 2nd (Maxx Williams!) for lower 2nd (Marcus Golden) & 5th (Shaq Riddick)
- 4th (Vince Mayle), 6th (Randall Telfer) & 7th (Ifo Ekpre-Olomu) for higher 4th (Rodney Gunter)
- 2016 7th (Joe Walker) for Matt Barkley

2016
- Jonathan Cooper & 2nd (Vonn Bell) for Chandler Jones
- 7th (Jordan Mailata) for Marcus Cooper

2017
- 3rd (Daeshon Hall) for lower 3rd (Chad Williams) & 4th (Dorian Johnson)
- 2nd (Adam Shaheen), 4th (Tarik Cohen), 6th (Jeremy Clark), & 2018 4th for higher 2nd (Budda Baker)
- 7th (Shalom Luani) & 7th (Jylan Ware) for 6th (Rudy Ford)
- Tony Bergstrom for 2018 7th (traded, Zach Sieler)
- 6th (Kam Moore) for Adrian Peterson

2018
- 1st (Kolton Miller), 3rd (Rasheem Green), & 5th (Dane Cruikshank) for higher 1st (Josh Rosen)
- 6th (Donovan Peoples-Jones) for Jamar Taylor

2019
- 6th (Ulysees Gilbert) for Marcus Gilbert
- Josh Rosen for 2nd (Andy Isabella) & 5th (traded, Colton McKivitz)
- Rudy Ford for Bruce Hector
- Korey Cunningham for 6th (Evan Weaver)
- 2020 5th (Colton McKivitz) for Kenyan Drake

2020
- David Johnson, 2nd (Ross Blacklock), & 2021 4th (Tyler Shelvin) for DeAndre Hopkins & 2020 4th (Rashard Lawrence)
- 2021 6th (Rodarius Williams) for Markus Golden

2021
- 3rd (Malcolm Koonce) for Rodney Hudson & 7th (Michal Menet)
- Mason Cole for 6th (Tay Gowan)
- 5th (Shaun Wade) & 2022 4th for 4th (Marco Wilson) & 6th (Victor Dimukeje)

If we could have Keim just do trades and someone else draft, that'd be great.

I agree that it’ll take a 5-6 win season to see both KK & SK get fired. As much as I agree that Caldwell has been hosed his entire career, I would be very enthused to see how Riley/KM do together. As much as KK was always in pursuit of K1, I don’t think K1 has ever been enthused to play for KK. That wouldn’t be the case with Riley. And Riley has already proven he knows how to use Murray. As much as Bidwill likes Keim, that leash is getting shorter and shorter.
