It's a tough task to go 16 and 0 , only two teams Pats --- Dolphins in the history of the game . What BASK and these players have done is improve over these past three seasons to 10 and 6 -- then 11 and 5 --- then 13 and 3 , I believe they will improve again to 14 and 2 .

Seattle is going to be tough, 49ers will be a push-over, Rams will be 8-8 again. If we stay healthy and the chemistry works, we're looking at 12 wins. If we get the injury bug or these huge personalities can't mesh this year, we're going to have problems.

10-6. This is my pessimistic view.

I'll go with a blend of my optimistic and realistic view and say 13-3 again. This is without a major injury to Palmer, Peterson, or another irreplaceable player (maybe Veldheer?).

BASK have had the midas touch with everything regarding this franchise. Each year they've improved, gotten lucky bounces, calls or no calls by the refs, etc. This could be a year things don't go their way.

To play that good for so long and have everything end like it did in Carolina.. Those things linger.

I hope I'm wrong, but we've all seen a long history of teams coming so close and then falling backwards the following year.

Respectfully disagree with your "Realistic View", the 2nd half. The Cards will probably defeat the Vikings in the New, dome roof, stadium on Nov 20th. Also, I don't see the Cards loosing twice to the Seahawks.

I think people are putting too much stock in the Carolina game. We weren't very close, at all. I would agree that if we, say, had a lead and Cam marched down the field to score the game winning touchdown, it would have a more profound psychological effect. Honestly, games in which you get blasted are easier to get over than ones in which you were oh-so close. Look at Seattle and Super Bowl 49. They were one coaching decision away from winning the game. That lingered like a fart in church for that entire offseason and through part of the ensuing regular season.

I have complete trust and faith in the coach and quarterback that a steep regression as you indicate won't happen. This team is tremendously talented and too hungry to let it go by the wayside.

I agree. Keim also made significant additions to the team which should dispel any lingering psychological ghosts. If that defense comes out and dominates early in the season it will build the entire teams confidence and possibly create a wave all the way to the playoffs.
