The problem is that you guys refuse to admit that the Cards have changed. They are keeping and extending their core players, they've hired a very good coach and coaching staff and they finally had a season where they won at least half of their games.

Regardless of how you want to look at it, this team has improved. It ain't the same old Cardinals and we get tired of hearing from some posters stating that is still is the same old same old. You can complain and bitch all you want, but at least acknowledge that strides have been made.

You guys asked for more wins last year and they went out and got them even considering we had a brand new coach, a new system and more injuries than most other NFL teams. Now if that doesn't tell you about the caliber of player on this team, then there is nothing more to say.

I never said this was the "same old cardinals". Phrases like that don't even exist in my vocabulary. I dont refuse to admit anything. I am straight up 100% of the time. That is the main reason many on here cant stand me. When hindsight proves me wrong I man up, but when it does the opposite that is just more fuel for the fire buddy.

Also, I love how you bring up that we have a new system and a new coach. Tell me then, WHY THE HELL ARE WE PREPARING TO MAKE A FINESSE WR THE HIGHEST PAID NON-QB IN THE WORLD?????????????????????????????? That is the exact opposite of Whiz's system. That's something I will try my hardest not to say. I watch every snap, holding my breath. Waiting for that moment where we as a collective can rejoice as the beat down minority. It isn't about me, and it isn't about you. It's about this team and their success. We have some sick dependence on this drug that gives us half our investment in return. Its masochism! But it is us.

Sure, we improved. We improved from a losing season into an in-between season. 8-8 is grrrreat! Great for a franchise built on losses. The joke of the NFL. Being held captive by players and having the GM lube our decline does not help us. Being proactive and demanding respect makes us better.

This past season was fun as hell. We laughed, we cried, we punched holes in the wall and did irreparable damage to private property. That is part of the allure of being a Cardinals' fan. Accepting mediocrity is not the American way. We aren't Canada FFS.

I think that a receiver that catches nearly every ball thrown to him fits in any system. If Fitz were only making lets say 10M this year, there would be absolutely not Fitz trade talk at all.

Tone was negative? It was challenging. Any two bit schmuck can just blindly play the hindsight is 20/20 game, and slam everything that comes along as bad.

I want to why people think the Fitzgerald deal will not get done ?

Why they think that the Cardinals cap situation is so much different than other team's situations ?

Why do they think that Dansby and all these other guys are going to leave ?

I think Fitz is a better receiver than Boldin. I seem to swim upstream everytime the debate goes on. Especially now, with the Fitz hate being spewn.

Still disagree though. I don't think that how much he makes, determines what we try to do or not. It is not we signed Fitz to a mega deal and he is not producing. We signed him to a contract that was designed to be renegotiated, and then took a huge gamble in not restructuring him, and now paying the price.

This GM should have had the wherewithal to know that this was a possibility. They could have addressed this last year, instead of giving out millions upon millions in roster bonuses, and paying out bonuses early.

cfm, did you see your name in there anywhere? Truthfully, I wasn't even thinking of you when I posted that.

As far as what Fitz is going to get paid---he earned it. This team offered him some standard incentives and he went out and met or exceeded them. Isn't that what we all hoped would happen?

That's why I can't understand all the hoopla over this and why everyone feels it is Graves fault. I guess people around here are so used to first round players being mediocre that they don't know how to react when one of them plays up to his potential. On the flip side of this, if Fitz had been a bust, everyone would be crying at Graves for having such a poor draft. You just can't win with this bunch.
