This could happen. It would have to be a high 2nd though.

I think Clevland would take a WR if Richardson is gone. Possibly even Claybourne.

The JETS would have to mortgage their whole draft to move up that far. They don't pick till 16, don't know if they have enough ammo to it. They'd do it for a shot at Richardson though. They'd need to throw in next yr's #1. imo.

Prediction: While on the clock the Cardinals trade with Philly, picking up the #15 overall and a 3rd round pick. The Eagles select safety Mark Barron. The Cardinals select Riley Reiff.

If Barron is the player many are saying, then we get our second round pick back and moved up to the 15th picks and take Reiff.

I'd be down with that because I think Mercilus could be a better than Ingram. Whitney just looks more like a 3-4 OLB in the film I've seen. Yes, I know some have said he can't make the transition. But we'll see.

Wait'll next year when Alex Okafor of Texas comes out. That guy is going to be a stud along with Kenny Vaccaro and Jackson Jeffcoat and maybe the best player of them all if he leaves early, Cbus favorite Longhorn, Jordan Hicks.

Mike Lombardi and Bill Simmons were talking about this Monday on the B.S. Report. Lombardi thinks that if the Jets offered their first, third, 2013 first, and Shonne Greene, the Browns would make that deal.

My problem with Mercilus is I don't think he can play OLB. He sure does remind me of Simeon Rice though...and we run the 3-4 :bang:

Becoming more and more of a possibility. Trent Richardson reported today the Jets called him to confirm his contact info on draft day in case they traded up to #3 to draft him.

Unless we were offered the moon, I can't see the Cardinals moving back so far. This is a top heavy draft, and several of those players fill Arizona's needs. I would take their two #1's at best, but still might hesitate. Mostly because I expect David DeCastro, Matt Kalil, Riley Reiff, Cordy Glenn, Justin Blackmon, Michael Floyd, Melvin Ingram, Whitney Mercilus, Shea McClellin, Donta Hightower, Luke Kuechly, Fletcher Cox, Michael Brockers, Morris Claiborne, Stephon Gilmore, Dre Kirkpatrick and Mark Barron all to be drafted before 27.

He does sound like a Texans style player. They do have an eye for Linebackers.

I believe they just let go one of their two former defensive rookie of the year linebackers as well as lose Mario Williams.

Lots of trades.. Wide open draft this year and it seems like everyone's been rumored to go everywhere at one point or another, think there will be lots of moving up and down as guys move up to get who they really want.

It's funny, because I kind of see the opposite playing out. Few trades, people let the draft come to them. There's a lot of quality but i don't see many players worth falling in love with and mortgaging the rest of your draft,

My prediction is that the Cards will draft the best impact player available and will get someone like Ingrim or barron when no one else is expecting them to. Castro or Reif is available and they draft a playmaker.

I wouldn't be upset at all.

I could see the Cards taking a CB. A forgotten man seems to be Dre Kirkpatrick. He's a big corner that can cover and would make a nice tandem with Peterson.

Fits the Horton profile if what I've seen of him is true. A CB that likes to hit people.

Mercilus and Kirkpatrick are the best fits for Mitch's Cardinal Tough team.

Count me in the group that thinks the Cards should go Defense in round 1 because with our QB situation that's the best way for us to see a winning season in 2012.

Adding a RT in round 1 will be 2007 all over again. Passing on playmakers to get themselves out of the corner they painted themselves into.

Patriots are targeting Barron and we are able to get both #1's from them.
With the #27 pick the Cards select Alabama OLB Courtney Upshaw
With the #31 pick the Cards select Stanford OT Jonathan Martin
We have multiple trade offers for #31 (QB Weeden) but we get our tackle and John Lott gets a new summer project
