I kinda wonder the innings compared to. Schilling and Johnson threw a LOT of innings. I was at games were Randy either completed the game or only came out in the eighth inning. He seemed to do that most times he pitched for us. Guys get pulled at a 100 pitches now. Were I know Johnson was going over that in games. That makes 200 strike outs kinda more impressive for the newer guys, because of less innings, but it feels like it happens less now, too. I don't have any stats to back it up, just a gut feeling from watching games.
