Agree but I like the talent along the defensive front better in round 1.
Me too, but if Monti is playing this per strategy only then Williams replacement would be the priority to get. That was my point.

I think that will happen, but not at 16. If you look at the players interviewing with Monti at the combine, there was a large group of potential 2nd and 3rd round OTs.

Tomlinson can collapse the pocket and will clog the middle:

obviously these are going to be his best plays but I love how he’s always moving in a deliberate way and his ability to disengage from blocks. I am so sick of seeing our defensive tackles hug the blocker, not get any push, and basically just become a tackling dummy out there.

I also wonder how our new DL coach will do with these players. Color me intrigued. God, it's nice to have some hope once in a while!

I mean, dude was working out hard in February and Jamp aint until June/July. So I'm pretty confident.
Can you please post your confidence levels a few years ago of Kyler being ready to play Week 1 based on similar evidence?

Nobody said we should punt on next season. I said it's likely to be a wash, the odds are most definitely against it, in which case it makes no business sense to give a 1st for Payton now vs, say, a 4th the year after.

Sure, Kyler might not be out 6 games, but he's likely to be. OBJ had ACL surgery last year 6 weeks later than Kyler this year and missed the whole season.

I think it's likely that Kyler is training and throwing before the season starts but I think with such a big contract on the line they won't want to RG3 him and they will be cautious with his return considering his need for mobility.

Dennis Gardeck had his ACL surgery a year ago a week later than Kyler and played a little in week 4 of 2021 but didn't return to meaningful playing time until week 6 and even then said he didn't feel all the way back until the 2022 season. And he's a Pinto compared to Murray's Ferrari.

I just don't see the Cards rushing him back until he's mentally and physically 100%.

Is this supposed to suggest I said he would be back in week 1? Because here's me saying he's unlikely to return before Week 6 in January.

This one is you literally saying you expect Kyler back in game one based on a preseason/offseason video:

Will Anderson is a superstar regardless of where he plays, but I just refuse to believe DeJean would have had the same success with us had we drafted him.
D, respectfully, you make a good point considering the personnel each player had but I've watched enough of both to see something a little different in DeJean. Time will tell, but I'm just going off of what I've seen.

Remember when Kyler quater squatted like 225lbs on IG in April and everyone was convinced he was already recovered.
