Nah, that shakes out both ways. If Ryland isn't on fire and Kyler doesn't bring us back, we could be 4-6. Our record is our record. 6-4 is plenty good for us right now.

I think you missed the point. I didn't say we SHOULD be 8-2 I said we could quite easily be 8-2. We've played well in all but 2 of our games, Washington and Green Bay.

Buffalo we had the ball down 6 at their 32 yard line with plenty of time to win it. But 3 incompletions sandwiched around an inexplicable run play on 3rd and 10 and we turned it over on downs.

The Detroit game we had them 3rd and 12 with just over 2 minutes left down 7 points and gave up the first down completion to ice the game.

I don't see what Ryland is doing as somehow lucky, I mean we lost our kicker, and he's been terrific but it's not like it's a clear fluke. Kyler gives us a chance to win most games, I'm not seeing what he's doing at the end of games as somehow fluky I'm seeing it as a sign of him having grown into the guy many of us thought he could be, in the right situation.

We're not winning on some superhuman plays by Kyler, we're winning because the entire program is working, offense, defense and special teams.

I still say we're a year ahead of the schedule I thought we would be on, but this is a legit good team IMO. We have had OL injuries, lots of defensive issues, and we've persevered. We're starting to get injured guys back, and the rookies are starting to step up.

I'm not saying we're a SB contender I am saying we're good enough to get a playoff spot if we continue to buy in and play the way Gannon wants us playing

The thing that's really starting to catch my attention, and i think NFL people all over now is that look at our 4 losses. Detroit is 9-1, Buffalo is 9-2, Green Bay is 7-3, Washington 7-4. That's 32-10 combined record in our losses.
We could have won both Buffalo and Detroit games, so we're 6-4 and with a little luck, and some plays, we could be 8-2.

Doesn't mean we're going to beat Seattle but this is NOT a fluke first 10 games, we've played extremely well in 8 of our 10 games
also worth noting a needed growth period for the offense and defense. Add in injuries to key players.

One really has to be impressed with this team’s season accomplishments.

We are what our record says we are and nothing more or less.

Darius Robinson: "We didn't have any setbacks. We knew the timeline when I got hurt. We just took it one day at a time & got better each day."Robinson said it was "heartbreaking" to return for one practice & then stop practicing, but quickly reiterated there were no setbacks.

On safety Jalen Thompson, who's been out with an ankle injury, Jonathan Gannon said: "He's doing OK. He's doing OK. He's working to get back out there. He had a good week last week. So we'll take it day-by-day with him."

What is this Ryland worship.

30 yard field goals are not hard, even as game winners. The level of praise this guy gets on here is beyond absurd.
Also the disrespect Prater gets. He has had a great career and is one of the best kickers in Cardinal history. I get he is now 40 and will likely retire, but even at his age there is no one else that I would trust more with a 50+ yard field goal.

Well Ryland's also hit 57 yarders for us and Prater is probably retiring soon.
Indeed. Ryland's game winners were no fluke. Pretty much every week you see kickers who miss "easy" kicks. Prater is great but we should stick with the hot hand errr foot for the time being.

He’s deserving of the praise he’s getting he’s also hit 3 40 yarders and 2 55+ yarders…. We need to start looking at a replacement anyways. His addition has been superb kicking in the clutch as well… Why you’re dumping on the praise he is getting is the better question.?

Yeah… the kid is hitting 91% of his FGA, 100% PATs, hit some 50+ and is 3/3 on game winners, two of them on the road. Prater was 85% last year, 1/2 on game winners and 95% PATs. And he was 88% FGA the year before that and even the two years prior to that he was 81% and 75%.

Even if you throw the clutch kicks out (and I don’t know why you would) by the actual measurables, Ryland’s been better than Prater was last year or any of his last 4 years, not to mention he’s also younger and cheaper.
