Damn dude. Did your dad beat you??

Is this why you’re so GD pessimistic?

Before you go on your “I live in PA/listen to steeler talk radio” stuff, I’m familiar with the region too…

JC is the best RB this sorry ass franchise has ever had, and in the top 5 of best FA signings ever.
Possibly, but he's old. I've reversed my opinion and expressed gratitude for having him. Also, I just said this is a great contract and gave Monti kudos. So what's your point here, exactly?

This is unacceptable. Please review the board rules and consider this your warning.

David Johnson in his prime was better than Conner.
For a whole one season and a half?

JC rarely has off days/games. He comes to play every week and has steadily done so for seasons now.

I liked DJ, but knowing everything, would you draft him over Conner this spring. I sure wouldn’t.

For this team and this offense, Conner might be worth this contract, but it would be a tough contract to justify on the open market.

Conner's longest run this year is 22 yards, and he only has 5 TDs. David Montgomery is the only RB in the top 25 in yards with a shorter longest run for the year, but he also has 12 TDs, and he is in a timeshare with a RB who gets lots of big plays.

Four games this season with fewer than 50 rushing yards but go off king
DJs cardinal tenure: 3.64ypc

JCs cardinal tenure: 4.3ypc

Pretty substantial difference.

Not sure whats up with the king comment- you broadcast yourself substantially more than me.

ASU guy said DJ was better, I said he wasn’t (substantiated my point), but you’re gonna take a shot at me.

If I’m misinterpreting you, please accept my apologies, but I will fully expect you to address me as “King” from here forward.

this board, the rules, and the clicks within are a joke.

Great take. They absolutely rewarded him for not only being a great football player but a great leader and culture carrier.

And you couldn't find a better guy to help Trey Benson learn the ropes in the NFL. The weakness for Benson when he came in was dancing too much trying to pop a big play, he's getting better at that week over week and has said several times how much Conner helps him in practice and film study. It's the perfect situation because you have a big faster younger RB that needs to learn how to play in the NFL, and a guy like Conner who is perfectly willing to teach him

Whoa, is he really having that bad of a season? Maybe we shouldn't have given him this contract?

He is #15 in yards. Which honestly, is overachieving. We know his value to the team is more than his statistical production. He was given the deal because he is the heart of the team and a great leader. We long argued about whether Fitz was worth it the last two or three seasons. It's a similar situation but Conner is much cheaper

I think you have to factor in we've played several really tough defenses in 2024 (BUF/DET/WAS/MIN/GB), and for the entire year the oline hasn't been as good as last year.

He's broken a ton of tackles too. He's still doing his thing, just been tougher sledding for him this year.

Yes. No other NFL teams have played 5 good defenses.

Such a lame take.
