Surely this is the game where our secondary actually comes up with an interception or two. It's been a LONG time since we have had a pick by a CB or S. For all our improved play in the secondary, it's the turnovers that are still lacking.
I'm sure Garret Williams had pick in last Seattle game. The problem is most of turnovers generated by defense happening when opposing team deep on Cardinals side of field.

He played for a powerhouse in college and in most games was schemed wide open against lesser competition.
he gets to the NFL and has to face the very best DB's in the game...and they are older, stronger, more physical, and more experienced than he is.
its not uncommon for a WR to come into the league and have to learn how to deal with DB's manhandling them and banging them around.
IMO, Marv just needs to get a little stronger...and find his Dawg, that..."get the fudge off of me thats my gad damn ball"
as JG would say it...his "Killer"
Don’t get me wrong, he’s shaken my enormous confidence in him. But I also think some of his disappointing production is due to the offense, and some to kyler. But the grand majority is on him. And I agree, he’s got to find that dawg in him.

somebody asked about when we will not be considered over achieving.

Pretty simple... back in september when the schedule dropped...every single prognosticator who is not a diehard Cards fan listed us as underdogs...in every single game. every one. we didnt start the season favored in any of them.
Start the season favored in at least half your games and anything can happen...so its no longer over achieving...unless you win like...15
The national pundits don’t know the cardinals like this board does.

Yes, you are correct on that.

We have 6 interceptions on the season which ties us for #24 in the NFL. (The Giants have only ONE!) Of those, 3 are by LBs and 3 by the secondary. I just think we have some talent that is good enough to jump a route or two every game. But, maybe the reason we have been so good at not allowing big plays is that we are being coached in a way that will limit aggressiveness in going for the ball?

many interceptions are a result of pressure/hits on the QB.

McBride could set career highs in both receptions and receiving yards this week, in game number 12 for him. Oh, and he could also set the franchise record for receptions by a tight end passing himself!

1205 is the franchise record for yards for a tight end, he is on pace to come about 80 yards short there.

I didn’t even know he was on IR
He hurt his heal in preseason. I assumed this was a way to redshirt him.

Jones was the fourth and final of the Cardinals' four third-round picks this season, the 90th selection overall. The Cardinals also got running back Trey Benson, guard Isaiah Adams and tight end Tip Reiman in the third round.

The 6-foot-2, 184-pound Jones is a long defensive back whose reputation is similar to fellow cornerback Garrett Williams -- himself a third-round pick -- when it comes to preparation.

Good bye Kei'Trel Clark!

This is the most important game of the Gannon era. It's probably the last chance they have at seriously competing for a playoff spot.

A win puts the Cardinals back into first place in the NFC West.

A loss pretty much puts the Cardinals on the outside looking in from a playoff standpoint for the rest of the regular season. They would for the most part have to win out and would need help from several other teams to have a chance at making the playoffs.

It may help those of you who are stressed to think of this like I do. This wasn’t supposed to be the Cards coming out year. I think of these as bonus games. Great if they win; understandable if they don’t. I’m excited about the game but it’s fun just to have meaningful games at this stage of the season.
Harry, if we lose. I'll embrace this wholeheartedly. It's hard to adjust expectations but at the end of the day you're right.

This has nothing to with Hurts or Barkley, but damn I am very jealous of their front 4 on defense lol
As well, I'm trying not to have regrets we didn't take DeJean. I like Max and believe he'll be just fine, but there is no denying Cooper has done wonders for that secondary along with Mitchell.

This is what I kept saying. Petzig’s offense generated 6 scoring opportunities at minny. That’s pretty impressive. Scoring a TD on only 1 was the real issue.

We're 23rd in Red Zone Percentage this season (52.6% on 38 trips). We're 10th in 3rd Down Percentage this season (41.1%).

Weirdly, we were 8th in red zone percentage last year (61.4% on 44 trips). And 14th on third downs (39.1%).

I think we're just seeing a clustering on high-leverage situations/games.

oddly, i think until the last two weeks they were 100% on converting TDs in goal to go

i think they have gone 0-2 the last two weeks

But if you're writing a Shakespeare script for the next John Wick movie, it won't work!
If you are gonna write a Shakespearean John Wick.... dude, you gotta have Shatner co star...
A Shatnearean performance in a Shakespearean style John Wick is the summer Blockbuster we all need.
