we need a premier pass rusher..this draft stacks up to give us a good chance to get one. Its going to be much harder when we are picking in the mid twenties.this would be the "win with offense and good enough defense" plan

I think there are pass rush prospects available who could be Josh Sweat quality; I don’t know if there’s likely to be a Micah Parsons quality prospect available.we need a premier pass rusher..this draft stacks up to give us a good chance to get one. Mike Green and James Pearce are both going to be double digit sack guys..with the added ability of playing the run, at least for PearceI think there are pass rush prospects available who could be Josh Sweat quality; I don’t know if there’s likely to be a Micah Parsons quality prospect available.
The difference between a guy who can get eight sacks a year vs 12 sacks a year is a major quality jump.
We were 13th in sacks last year considering our injuries, thats a pretty good ranking. 5th in taking sacks.we need a premier pass rusher..this draft stacks up to give us a good chance to get one. Its going to be much harder when we are picking in the mid twenties.
I’m trying to figure out why we would draft a edge player at 16.
Being 28th in pressure percentage would have something to do with that.We were 13th in sacks last year considering our injuries, thats a pretty good ranking. 5th in taking sacks.

Personally, I want to go with WR Golden if he is there.
WRs are expensive these days. Having two under cost control for the next four years is a good strategy.
I’d rather have a DT which can disrupt up the middle than an edge with double digit sack potential if i had to choose between the two.Being 28th in pressure percentage would have something to do with that.
Kiper's latest mock has him going 39 to the bears. But it's still a long way to draft day. And as you know it only takes one team to fall in love with himDoubtful, if so early
Just another data point. RAS is just a good way to see apples to apples in some athletic testing. It matters less than film vs meaningful talent but probably the same as tape against Mercer. What does it mean? That a player at the combine in shorts has similar numbers to a great player's numbers in shorts at the combine? I guess it's not nothing, but posting it the way you did is an attempt to directly correlate player to player. RAS does nothing to do that. RAS can be nice in choosing one prospect over another, if you have two players you like equally. That's where I feel its use is, NOT in saying one player is like a pro bowl NFL player. That will always get a "Child, please" response from me.
Be honest. Those RAS comparison posts are meant to be somehow definitive. Don't split hairs--back up what you post and say you value RAS highly.
I agree with Harry that I am pretty confident Nolen goes round 1.Kiper's latest mock has him going 39 to the bears. But it's still a long way to draft day. And as you know it only takes one team to fall in love with him
I don’t get what you question about Harry. He very clearly was in the industry and has contacts. You can disagree with his opinions. But his background and sources always seem pretty legit. Nothing outrageous. What I l loved is you 'claiming' you checked with your sources. again.![]()
I think the TE take is kinda odd. We have:I like Higgins, but he's a tight end #3 on most teams. Or at least was last year, I admit he has developed well and still has plenty of room to grow. Definitely want to keep him around but if I was GM I'd be looking to add a developmental TE that can both block and catch. Someone like Mitchell Evans in the 4th or 5th. Vokolek is a wasted roster spot.
I've always been a Mike Wilson believer. I think he's got solid WR2 potential but I like him more in the slot. He's a good route runner and has good feet, which would be better used inside. The team is missing a field stretcher and I'd like to add that in the draft.
That is the guy I want the Cardinals to draft in round oneI agree with Harry that I am pretty confident Nolen goes round 1.
Yeah. I don't like it. The players are good but I don't want Monti turning his nose up at the DT/Edge draft class like this.this would be the "win with offense and good enough defense" plan
So you think we're, what, set at edge? Have you not watched the opposing QB often have all day to throw? Pass rush is most definitely a problem. Granted, DL can help that as well as edge.We were 13th in sacks last year considering our injuries, thats a pretty good ranking. 5th in taking sacks.

While that would be great, I doubt it. Talk in Stiller land is, if they don't go QB (which would be hilarious), he could easily be their pick.Nolan might be available in round two.
No worries. It's forgotten. I put less in it than you do, but not nothing. An R is hugely important in Wheel of Fortune, as it is a common letter. I'd put RAS as a Z in Wheel; not often relevant but can be important in certain situations.Just another data point. RAS is just a good way to see apples to apples in some athletic testing. It matters less than film vs meaningful talent but probably the same as tape against Mercer.
No different than an "r" in Wheel of Fortune. One piece to help try to solve the bigger puzzle.
And I am sorry for the ******* comment at the end of my post.
With Reiman and Higgins hopefully developing I think it’s a likely top 2 roomI think the TE take is kinda odd. We have:
Top 3 TE
A developing Higgins who is further along than we all likely expected
A 3rd round pick in his second season
I think that likely a top 5 TE room in the league.
The fact they brought him in for a 30 visit tells me they already investigated all the ******** and found it to be lacking....which is what I found too
Honestly I would be happy with any of the big name defensive ends or defensive tackles….That is the guy I want the Cardinals to draft in round one
Roseman waiting in the weeds for Nolan …pierce or greenWhile that would be great, I doubt it. Talk in Stiller land is, if they don't go QB (which would be hilarious), he could easily be their pick.
That would be hope for what’s been invested therein. And it’s certainly possible. With Reiman and Higgins hopefully developing I think it a likely top 2 room
The real question is whether it's relevant. We've had really good safety rooms in the past (and today), but having an elite group at a lesser position maybe doesn't move the needle much? That would be hope for what’s been invested therein. And it’s certainly possible.
Yeah, now check our blitz rate. We need to generate sacks without blitzing in order for our defense to work as designedWe were 13th in sacks last year considering our injuries, thats a pretty good ranking. 5th in taking sacks.
