That's ridiculous. As soon as he was signed it was like he was the second coming. Last pre-season I had the gall to suggest he didn't look accurate and I was lambasted by the masses.
Maybe the problem is Whiz working with the QBs. Outside of Warner, each one he's "worked with" has declined in production.
Does Mike Martz have a job? I'd love to see him come in as a QB consultant. Warner and others credit him with changing the way they see the position.
Me too. I wonder if Floyd will have ANY impact on his PT, though. Doucet seems to be most effective in the slot as the #3. I could see him hanging on to that role...but, as you said, the coaching staff seems to really like Roberts, so who knows.
Certainly. Still, I'm hopeful it will happen earlier rather than later in the season. I'm not laying down money on it or anything, I just think those are the guys that will climb up the depth chart.
The only changes I'd anticipate by sometime in the first Q of the season is Floyd to move into the WR2 slot and Massie to maybe crack the lineup, too.
Fingers crossed, at least.
He said "Talking to some of my buddies" and you said "he probably talked to one guy."
You never used the word liar, but you indicated you didn't think he was telling the truth.
I'm not trying to stir the pot, I just don't get where you're coming from on this one.
It's not a true survey (it was never purported to be), but we don't know how many people he spoke with. I'm not sure ewhy you'd call him a lair and say it was just one source, and even then, maybe the source told him the locker room was with Skelton.
I don't think it's a question of toughness. There are plenty of guys who are tough as nails...but are also fragile as glass.
You can't play through some of these injuries he's getting--it's not his fault, but none the less, I'm glad we have Williams and hope he can stay healthy. I wish we'd...
I'll write a review later this week (feel free to use parts of it as your jacket cover quote for the second printing ;)).
Here's a brutal truth, though: that website needs help! In all honesty, the low-quality site is not helping reflect the high-quality of the book. JMHO
Just finished. It was good--I liked it a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets bought by Hollywood--the duplicitous ("tri-plicitous?") nature of almost every character has got to be intriguing for actors.
A good theme for the book (aside from the obvious) would be Billy Joel's "The...
