    Yeah, that 4-3 record as the Giants starter in open air really screwed his record up. Or not. His open air record was above .500 when he left the Rams, too. That it's bad now is all about his time with the Cardinals.

    The reason he's crazy is the qualifier "at best". He's not saying they're a .500 club in his estimation, he's saying that's the best possible, and they might be worse. If you look at the Cardinals results this year and think their best possible result is 8-8, you're just nuts.

    Clean hit. Helmet to the shoulder, not late, drove him down, but through the hit, not with anything extra on it. Not saying it won't be a fine, but if there is, it's wrong. If there's a suspension, there should be torches, pitchforks, and a march on NFL headquarters.

In point of fact, three Super Bowl teams in the last nine seasons were over 2 turnovers a game during the regular season. The 18 teams in the Super Bowl averaged just under 27 regular season turnovers. Only one of them...

    "Rest of the season or as long as he remains upright, whichever comes first" would have been more accurate. This is the smart thing to do. Linehan's desperation in benching Bulger just 15 starts after his giant contract stank to high heaven. I wouldn't hire him to run an ice-cream truck.

    All it takes is one hit, if it's the right/wrong hit. I dunno if that hit occured, but the mental difference between being able to stand back there and make good decisions while large men attempt to kill you and getting flummoxed and doing something weird is probably a lot smaller than non-QBs...
