    That's just coach-speaking in cliches (for public consumption). I'm sure in private it's a different message. I'm NOT in favor of making a change just for the sake of change. They need an overall better team before throwing Josh Rosen out there.

    He did say Checkdown Sammy was getting rid of the ball too quickly, but that they need to do a better job of spreading them out to open up DJ31 (take the hint, McCoy). Confirmed receivers were cutting off their routes too quickly, or just running bad routes (too short).

    It's SAMMY CHECKDOWN! Get it right :p Granted, from where I was sitting I couldn't see ALL the receivers ALL the time. If they were that open, why did he keep dumping it off to DJ31? Nervous of the defense? No confidence in his O-line? Either way, I hope to see JR3 by week 4.

    I don't blame McCoy. We all know QB's have 3 options on pass plays - long/med/short. Sammy Checkdown obviously had no timing with his receivers, and none could get open so he felt compelled to dump it to DJ31. Coaches decided to protect him during pre-season so he's got a lot of rust to...

    I guess Coach Wilks forgot he doesn't have Thomas Davis and Kuechly on this team :?. They played a lot of zone defense (which is not the DBuc's strength). Def and Of were both bad ... I'm surprised the Redskins only scored 24pts.
