Sunday’s game between the Cards and Rams will look like a fight between an 8th grader and a 3rd grader.
I honestly will be shocked if midway through the 3rd the Card faithful have all turned the slaughter off.

Wilks quote of the day, ‘guys were trying to do too much.’ Yea not the total ineptitude of the coaching staff to call plays that might actually work.

The only hope the Cards got is the Rams are tired from the MNF game.

New coaching staff, new offense. new defensive scheme. Its going to take at least half the season. Its going to be ugly for a while. Relax.

We will learn all we need to know about the 2018 Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. I'm not gonna lie. I already have this as an L, but what I need to see is some damn pride and fight out of the team. This season's not over, but if they play like they played on Sunday, we know to cool any talk of playoffs, and a surprise run at a chip. (see Philadelphia eagles) Everyone expects us to get mopped, but prepraration and pride make a huge difference. Ask the Bucs.

As of right now, Ryan Fitz-Magic > Sam Boring-ford.

I’m starting Josh week 3. Yes the Bears have a good defense but he’s going to face one eventually. Might as well start him off with a couple of home games (assuming there won’t be more Bears than Cards fan that week).

100% agree! If Sam and Co don't show any movement Sunday vs the Rams....which is a tall order....It's time to cut bait and see what the future holds. Worst case we give Sam through the Bears game...if they're 0-3....call it quits then and it's Rosen time.

I'd be interested to see the odds on the Rams game....guessing Rams +13, but I'd put it at Rams +20.

Cardinals are gonna need to find a lamp that offers three wishes to change this season around.

To be a new HC and have all offseason to prepare, and the team plays the type of uninspired football they did against the skins is not a typical “new coach” struggle. Guys want to play hard for the new coach, where was that on Sunday

Rams by 14 at Yahoo. Not sure where they get their line. WOW. 2-touchdown NFL lines are rare nowadays, usually involving somebody like Cleveland.

Worst to first are outliers.

That's fair, and I don't expect this to be a 14-win team. But we were 8-8 last season, not 3-13. Just because you have a new coaching group come in doesn't mean that you have to start from ground zero.

Jacksonville went from 3-13 to 10-6 last year. Morrone was already on the staff, but you get it. Buffalo made the playoffs last year in the first year of the McDermott regime. Todd Bowles turned the Jets from a 4-12 to 10-6 in a season.

Nobody was talking about the Rams rebuilding or "reloading" though. Their cupboards were stocked, just heavily mismanaged. Our coach swtich is kind of the opposite. Arguably the best coach in team history to well, what's looking alot like Fischerball. (He's probably available.)

Rams switch to a 3-4 did take a few weeks to materialize. I know the first week or two looked kind of ugly. But they were able to pull it together pretty quick. I can't see that happening with Cards though, mainly because of the LB situation. It'll be at least 2019 before that ever gets fixed.

Worst thing is I'm going to have to watch the game with my Rams fan buddy I grew up with that I see basically twice a year to watch the games. He'll be calling soon. He's alot easier to get a hold of now that the shoe has switched feet.

Donald and Suh may hasten the Rosen era.
Watch a rerun of Rutgers vs. Ohio St. and you'll come away with a different idea.

(Rutgers hung its rookie QB phenom out to dry and the kid had to leave the game with a shoulder injury. Fortunately he'll be OK, but he could have been gone for the rest of the season).

We don't want that to happen to Rosen.

Oh BIM, you have no idea how much I envied the Bucs on Sunday. They went to one of the hardset places to play, against a SB contenender and refused to accept defeat. Why can't that be us! Agh!!!

Did you see this?

I think what isn't discussed is how much is a team changing? What I mean is, are teams scrapping a playbook or formations they are used to and moving to entirely different concepts? Many of the Arians players are very used to the throw it deep, chunk play kind of offense that Arians ran. The defense is also very different, moving from a 3-4 to a 4-3. I think this team isn't prepared to play Wilks' defense since he grew up in Carolina which relies on great LB play, and the Cardinals frankly have hot garbage at LB.

Deone Bucannon is the longest-tenured Cardinal after Fitz and Peterson. Almost the entire offense has been replaced.

Who are you talking about?

I think a bigger issue is our DE depth. Aside from Jones all of our other active DEs were liabilities during running plays this past week.

Todd Gurley is going to run for 200+ yards on Sunday against the Cardinals. Our defense cannot stop the run. I just might bet against the Cardinals if the spread is under 12 points.
