    Suns Off-season Thread

I think this is a good point that is often lost. There's a thin line between thinking you know and realizing the only way you know is from media reports. The media & its sources get plenty of attention from sending us on wild goose chases like we suppose to know every intricate detail going on...

I think the Suns have enough to win and Jones did what everybody would have crucified him for had he didn't...go all out for KD....because he has enough. They do have to be managed better to be ready for the playoffs. There are a limited amount of shots and minutes, can't give out more minutes...

Bronny will fill seats for any team that signs him or his brother. People will pay just to see LeBron there. People will talk about them two forever with or without merit. And unlike most players, they are set for life regardless of their actual abilities. They are stars. If Lebron is not...

    The Durant Sweepstakes

I truly think Jones was trolling Monty with that post up power forward comment. LOL...more I think about it maybe he trolling Indiana since Stix is their starting power forward and Indiana said Stix gives them the more traditional power forward option they never had. A traditional power forward...

    The Durant Sweepstakes

Monty did say Biz had more girth that NO game Stix has 12 points in the 1st quarter and Stix got taken out to never return for Biz.

Jones has a very witty way with words. LOL!! He tells you everything you need to know. You choose to believe or not.

    The Durant Sweepstakes

After all this effort to get KD, Jones landed on the thought that he needs a post up power forward. I think he's trolling somebody because his power forwards are no where near the post. ...his power forwards are actually small fowards. Wait a minute. He did just dump a power forward who told...

I'm afraid too he will be gone because the Suns can't pay him at least $15 mil. Especially since the Suns dont know how to invest in tomorrow and focus on today at the same time.

CamJ is going to make a great coach because he includes teaching and has the patience to do so. It's great to see because players do move on to the executive level when the ball stops....and most coaches were not the level of player they demand from their players....cough cough Monty included...

Duane Washington Jr. signs a two-way contract with the Suns

Yeah, I'm looking at now. You can't miss what you can't measure Grandma said too. So you can count on something you don't have yet. If the roster opens up, Monty may have no choice. But did KD sign up to play with 2 converted 2 ways or that strong core he doesn't have to bsbysit.

Duane Washington Jr. signs a two-way contract with the Suns

Payton is 28 & been in the league for 8 years who was on a contract. Payton playing was to be expected. 2 way players don't play over contract players & high end paid contract players don't get treated like insurance policy 2 way players The The only way Washington gets time is because he's a...

Duane Washington Jr. signs a two-way contract with the Suns

It will be interesting to see how he plays. He knows he has to produce to get more than the 2 way contract that often means the primary focus is scoring which he does attempt to do a lot but Monty is going to need him to run his offense to backup CP and Payne (maybe replace Payne...no Monty...

Duane Washington Jr. signs a two-way contract with the Suns

He didn't have many assists was not due to his teammates. He often backed (and played beside) Hali up who averaged 10 assists (which was up since he left SAC) playing with the same teammates. The Pacers played with a different lineup every night since the trade deadline which would be the last...

Duane Washington Jr. signs a two-way contract with the Suns

Why wouldn't the Suns lock Ish up now. What if he does do what everybody expects him to do. Loyalty or really liking something only takes you so far. Somebody else will see & offer him more. 2 ways back to back when I've proven I can play don't sit well with me. The Suns should have given him a...

Duane Washington Jr. signs a two-way contract with the Suns

Monty wouldn't take a chance on the least valued position. If we follow Monty's logic, there's no way he gives him time to the most important one especially if Monty is still looking to win and 9-10 established rotational players deep. That says nothing about the actual talent. If this kid had...

Duane Washington Jr. signs a two-way contract with the Suns

The question is will Monty play him? Will Monty be patient to let him develop? I assume Monty still wants to win after he lost McGee who Jones said was better than a developing player in a world where bigs are considered of no value. Now we talking the position of most importance and a player...

All Indiana said during their press conference was how shocked they were about how good Stix was and how hard he worked and his high character. Carlisle talked about how his parents didn't want Stix to skip steps. Every body said the Pacers did the trade to dump assets and had no plans to keep...

Smith seems to have a different attitude due to what looks like Suns trying to keep a bridge still connected. Jalen Smith on his Pacers opportunity, support from Suns and a potential reunion with Deandre Ayton - https://bit.ly/3yxM7PK via @PHNX_Suns

    The Ayton Plan

3.8, 8.3, 7.8, 17.3/10.2 .425/.392/.88 4 years $100 mil And his team got whipped by an Indiana team with a castaway that wasn't even 60 days old. The Suns really should be ashamed of themselves.

It's actually the current state of how Indiana plans to operate is good for young guys who just need to play but not for max guys. DA will want out as quickly as Jermani Grant did especially if Indiana doesn't keep any vets.

I do think players should not be able to make a request until they are NN% through their contract or have a early out penalty. But I think the above happens only if there is some kind-of penalty of minimum commitment requirement as a standard for owners in trades, waivers & declined options.
