    Yup. There are plenty of teams who will sign him, but getting the $42mil (even if it was reduced to say $35mil) is going to be tough. He'll probably get a signing bonus with a low salary and the rest performance incentives.

    Honestly, I think 2018 will be a mediocre season at best. Anything better, great. 2019 is when they should start making that upward trend again with lots of cap space to rebuild the roster.

    Gotta have a trade partner though. Like others have stated, he's too big now for safety and too small for a true LB, and overpaid. He's in an odd place for another team to want to trade for him.

    They'd have to carry the salary until 6/1, which would have reduced their FA pool, right? Iupati, check. My understanding from initial reports was the $15mil was salary; meaning no signing bonus. If they can spread some out, all the better. But, I'd rather there not be any on the books past...
