I don’t understand why we’d want anyone from the NY Giants oline

I agree, but then again, I have no idea why anyone would want a receiver from AZ, and yet John Brown got signed, and the Seahawks are looking into signing Jaron Brown.

Heck, Michael Floyd even got re-signed at one point.

Bradley Sowell got signed, and re-signed by the Bears........ the lists goes on.

I would guess it is the whole change of scenery may improve the situation thing.

Interestingly I read an article this morning about his MRI coming back clean last week and he’s been cleared for football activities. His doctor says it was muscle related, rather than spinal. Whew!

If that’s true and he clears our physical, I say we sign him to 4yrs $36mm with $16 guaranteed.

Get him on a yoga routine, and he will be fine then.

Where will Pugh fit on the line with Andre Smith signed and Iupati back?

Yup, but would still would need a smart, strong, athletic pivot to supplant Ship, Boehm, Munyer, Tuerk, et al.

Wouldn't every NFL team. The talent pool for centers in the NFL is as deep as a puddle on a hot day.

Trust me, I have looked, and looked, and looked.

Why not just sign a good player without any caveats? It seems all of Keim signings come wit,

they’ll be good IF........

clearly a bargain shopper, at least of late

Veldheer, Iupati were top drawer guys

but after that.............

I agree. we need top notch line help and if there is any doubt that this guy can be that then dont bother bringing him in. I would rather start a rookie than a vet who is only going to play 7-8 games this season.... I mean,... rookie may get hurt, or may suck... but at least they provide some hope for the future...and right now the redbirds need that more than anything else.

Iupati and Pugh would be a road grader pair of guards, as long as they stay healthy. It's frightening to keep repeating that but honestly that's the game. Injuries laid waste to most every superstar in the league last year. Every signing by every team comes with that thought in the back of their heads. Depth, more than top line talent, defines most teams' success or failure over a season.

I appreciate - but even with the dollars who was a flawless and without question stud free agent?

Norwell- sure but they supposedly tried
Cousins---hasn't won
Brees- was never gonna leave

I'm not being fasicious---I honestly can't think kf any player that either wasn't too old, injury history, poor results, or otherwise that could have been brought in . but as my wife always remiss me I could and probably am wrong !

Could Boehm be that guy? It could few up some dollars if Shipley was cut right?
