I am really confused by Crowder's behavior. Is this about him being in trade rumors? Is he mad about Cam potentially being promoted to a full-time starter? Did something happen that I missed?

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

I was on vacation when this was announced. Got engaged AND found out Sarver was selling- what a great week! As to who replaces him... honestly, I don't even care. I know I should, I know it's very important, but the sheer fact that Sarver is about to be gone just feels so good that I can't even...

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

Eh, maybe. It could be nothing more than a PR thing. They might not want to renew anyway, or they want to renegotiate a deal.

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

This is a good sign. I am not convinced the sponsors won't be able to be replaced, but it's definitely a good sign and a step in the right direction. EDIT: Just saw the statement from KIA, which is what I was worried about. "Yeah, this is awful, but we look forward to continuing to support the...

I agree. That's pretty much spot-on, in my opinion.

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

Isn't that the guy that has a long history with Sarver. I swear I've put my hopes in that dude before only to find out he was a chronic malcontent that had zero support among the owners/ investors. I mean, this is a good step in the right direction, but this one dude that has a certain...

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

If it were a "pathetic minimization of what he did", he would have been removed already. Either it is not a minimization, or it is very common in the NBA. I don't actually disagree with you about anything in particular- I sure as hell wouldn't want to work for him, but it's obviously not enough...

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

Well, in that case, the "punishment" is even more of a joke than I initially thought.

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

Well, I try (with different levels of success) to not let my personal disdain and contempt for Sarver cloud my judgement. I believe there is no way in hell that this has not been discussed by now and everyone is on the same page that they cannot talk to Sarver. It's probably in writing already...

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

There is no way that's gonna happen. I cannot imagine the kind of punishment the Suns would face if they got busted doing that.

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

So my guess is that Sarver is being saved by the fact that other owners and other partners are just as bad. That likely saved his ass because others are afraid to do anything because if they do, he will expose the rest. At that point it becomes a huge issue since one person was removed/ fired...

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

Sarver can still be the hero. He resigns with a statement that he doesn't agree with the outcome, and is going to resign in order to not be a distraction in a championship run while he appeals or whatever else. At the same time, he can sign a big fat check to Cam Johnson and tell Jones to use...

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

Of course it turned out this way- bad enough to humiliate the organization, but not bad enough to oust him.

NBA Free Agency and Trades 2022

Honestly, I haven't looked at the stats, but from what I remember, he was just fine on the perimeter. He is a European white guy in his 30s, so he's not going to compete with Bridges and Smart for the defensive player of the year, but he is not terrible. I'd put him somewhere around Nader or...

NBA Free Agency and Trades 2022

Bojan is a reliable three-point shooter. Without checking the stats, I'd say he would be the second-best shooter on the team, behind only Cam Johnson. Also, he is not bad defensively. He actually plays pretty good defense, but he is even smaller than Crowder.

    Suns Off-season Thread

I'd look at Blake Griffin and Lou Williams. Griffin would be an interesting option as he can actually hit a three pointer while having the size to play in big lineups. Williams had a pretty bad year, but I think he is worth a gamble behind Payne. I realize both these guys are washed up, but...

    The Durant Sweepstakes

I agree, but what I find even more amazing is how he recovers. You see player beat him off the dribble, run him through screens, and he still manages to recover and get back to his assigned player. I've seen people do that before (Leonard, Kobe, etc), but I have never seen anyone do it as...

    The Durant Sweepstakes

I disagree, and that's not a knock on JJJ. He is a very good defender, but Bridges is on a different level. I'd likely put Jackson just above Ayton, but I don't think he is at Mikal's level. Mikal's ability to recover is just incredible. He seems to play the passing lanes a bit better as well...

    The Durant Sweepstakes

I like Jackson a lot, but Mikal is one of the best defenders in the league, so I would consider him far more valuable.

    The Durant Sweepstakes

I disagree. While I agree with the sentiment, I don't believe you want to piss off every other superstar in the league. Those are the exact same superstars they hope to sign in the future.

As a native speaker, both translations are accurate. It can mean anything ranging from having a casual discussion, debating something or arguing. I can't find the video clip, so I don't know the exact context, but I am leaning towards, "I talked to the coach."

NBA Free Agency and Trades 2022

I might be thinking about this the wrong way, but Saric could work as a PF- you just have to have Ayton guard the opposing stretch big man. I obviously think this is not a great move due to having our best rebounder play away from the basket, but Ayton covers a lot of Dario's weaknesses. I do...

While I would trade either for Durant, I cannot express how much I love Cam and Mikal.

If this is the roster where do we stand?

To be fair, Mavs did not beat the Suns this year. Suns beat themselves. Barring a meltdown like we say this year, Suns take that series 4-1 every time. Woods, McGee, and Hardaway do not change that, in my opinion.
