How many free agents did we sign today?

Part of my point is with 14+ million under the cap, there won't be any high quality, let alone impact players, to sign. I would like Freeman to sign here. Other than that, seems there won't be much else.

    Max Number on Roster?

The Cards have 84 players on the current active roster. If I am not mistaken, that is the max, correct? So, if we sign a few free agents, who goes?

    Antonio Freeman

So why not throw too much money his way? Other probable free agents per ESPN: Here are a few of them: Oronde Gadsden, wide receiver (minimum salary: $530,000): The former Miami starter might not have exercised much sense in rejecting an extension last year that would have paid him a...

Could our WR be better than last year?

I'll be happy if our WRs catch more than 12 TDs this season. That leaves Smith, F Jones, Shipp and a few others to catch another 18 TD passes from Blake. If we can come up with more TDs than sacks, I'll be a very happy man!

What's up with Xtra Sports 910

The day Jurecki interviewed Graves and found out about the injury waivers, I called Xtra Sports that afternoon, 3ish, to find out why they weren't reporting it. They said they hadn't heard and would look into it. I didn't hear them mention it for two more days and made it sound like no big...

If we stick with our current WRs

The original question was: "I am curious if anyone can name a rookie WR on a team with a somewhat above average QB and basically all rookie WRs who put up pro-bowl or near pro-bowl numbers?" Moss had Carter.

Do you try to teacher your "partner" football?

My wife actually used football to catch me, inviting me over on Sundays to teach her about it and cook for me and ... well anyways we never ended up watching much football. After married I did my best to teach her about it, letting her know the players names, I even had my own business that...

If we stick with our current WRs

I unfortunately don't see a winning season regardless. A proven vet would, however, provide leadership and experience as well as a number one WR. I'm not talking an average WR but someone who is a cap casualty with a history of putting up solid numbers.

If we stick with our current WRs

Re: Re: If we stick with our current WRs I was quoting another post in another thread. I would love to see that happen but still believe we need a proven veteran go to guy.

Arthur - You don't believe that if say Kasper looks like the next Jerry Rice and the others are, well, rookies, he won't be the center of attention by defenses? Just curious. :)

If we stick with our current WRs

Many on this board are comfortable "throwing the rookies into the fire," believing one of them will shine. I am curious if anyone can name a rookie WR on a team with a somewhat above average QB and basically all rookie WRs who put up pro-bowl or near pro-bowl numbers? IMO, we must have a...

    Youth at WR...

One out of 5 or 6 still leaves 4 or 5 dropping passes, getting beat and not getting open. Amare had 4 others vets with him on the court and basketball is much diffferent than football for rookies. 1 good rookie WR against most teams best corners is not promising, IMO. They will swarm on...

Still nothing about signing our Draft Picks?

Re: Thanx Of all the 1st round picks, Pace should be extremely grateful to have gone as high as he did and with the public/media sentiment against him, he should be out there busting his a$$ proving them wrong with whatever waiver he is asked to sign!!

    Youth at WR...

Back to the topic of WRs, stay with rookies or try to find a veteran that can lead the youngsters. IMO, we must have a veteran who can pick up the system quickly and knows what to expect from pro corners. A true go to guy. Without that, we may get to see a few spectacular moments from the...
