    DerMarr Johnson

This guy fit in very well with the Nuggets style last season and was developing a very good outside game, shot 50% from the field and 35% from 3pt (just like Q). http://www.realgm.com/src_playerfile/86/dermarr_johnson/ I think he could give minutes at 2 and 3, could a good backup for Marion...

    Shareef Abdur-Rahim signs with Sacramento

I think Miller and Skinner are all they need in the middle, that's more than the Suns had last season with Hunter and Voskuhl.. SAR is going to be very capable of matching up with Amare if the Suns go small. Miller and Thomas can battle each other when they are on the court. The Kings bench...

Suns need to make a splash...

I agree, but if you put things into context, I think the combination of Bell and Diaw may offset the loss of JJ. It sounds like Diaw has the ball handling skills of JJ and Bell has some of shooting skills of JJ, not the range though. The absence of Q will be filled by Jackson and Barbosa, I...

    Nets to waive Ron Mercer

I would much rather spend money on Derek Anderson than Ron Mercer, it probably won't happen because I just read where Tony Dutt is DA agent. I think he was McDyess's when the Suns were dealing with that fiasco.

    Will the Suns pursue Abdur-Rahim??

I think he would be a great fit. Look at Detroit, they took a risk on McDyess, a guy with bad knees and he fit in great with the Pistions. If you limit SAR minutes to 25 a game in rotation with Amare and Thomas, you basicly have the same type of front line as the Pistions. Thomas-Ben Wallace...

JJaded over Suns? You have reason

My question is where was the foresight, if everybody and his brother knew that Larry Hughes, Ray Allen and Michael Redd were going to be FA this summer, why not take care of your SG ASAP. Market forces are not NBA market forces, just because there were a lot on the market does not necessarily...

JJaded over Suns? You have reason

I agree the situation was mishandled last summer. Let me ask you this, do you think if Q had not have been signed last summer would a deal with JJ have been hammered out? I think it would have, Bryan convinced Sarver that it may be a good idea to have a back up plan in case JJ was offered a...

    Positive signs coming from Atlanta

That's a good point, when Colangelo set out to sell the Suns he did the same thing paring the salaries of Penny and Marbury off the books. The beauty of his situation is that he some very young talent in Marion, Amare and JJ. A team that went to the playoffs the previous season and anyone...

JJaded over Suns? You have reason

If you go back to last summer, the offer was 50M and Sarver upped the ante to 60M this summer, like he said in his interview he knew he was going to pay JJ more than what he offered last summer, and was willing to do it. It sounds like he was even willing to go to 75M, so if JJ is hurt so be...

Stern must officiate Hawks, Joe Johnson situationBy Marc Stein (10 AUG 2005)

Stern is in a tough position, he and the board of governors signed off on the ownership group even though "there were concerns from the start about the feasibility of these three disparate entities co-existing". I not sure if these parties banded together so they could acquire both an NBA...

Belkin WINS!!!: Judge grants Belkin's Injunction

The majority has spoken and I will revert back to the unbold font. I was not trying to make what I say have more impact, it is just when I do a lot of my personal work I use bold.

    Hawks seek Commissioners help

I think the way the ownership group was allowed to be formed sets a bad precedence. I don't think there are very many teams owned by a 40/30/30 framework. The owners who represent the 30/30 part think that they have as much power as the 40% owner. There is always a reason you have a majority...

Belkin WINS!!!: Judge grants Belkin's Injunction

Unlike some reporters, I proof read my posts for accuracy. And also, I hope the bold is easier to read for others and for my benefit I wish others would post in bold.

    Hawks seek Commissioners help

Here is a statement from the judge that may side with Belkin; 'defendent owners did not oblige with a clause in their franchise purchase contract that requires commissioner approval to remove a governor' I bet Belkin's lawyer will glom on to that quote. The league had approved the purchase...

Belkin WINS!!!: Judge grants Belkin's Injunction

No just easier for me to read, I look at a computer too much each day. Nobody complains about the poster who writes in purple, AZZenny. Tell me which one you prefer.

Belkin WINS!!!: Judge grants Belkin's Injunction

I doubt Stern will remove Belkin, that would set a precedence that may prevent other people into investing in NBA franchises. The league already went through the approval process of this ownership group, there is no way that they step into this matter. Unless they take over operations of the...

Belkin WINS!!!: Judge grants Belkin's Injunction

I don't think that a GM has a good understanding of the financial status of some the owners. A GM wants good players, a governor wants fiscal responsibility. If this were a court case based on Billy Knights qualifications then the judge would have probably ruled in his favor as well.

    Will the Suns pursue Abdur-Rahim??

Chap you are on top of the scoop. And I knew Billy King would make some news today just because we have been giving him credit for things he did not do.

Belkin WINS!!!: Judge grants Belkin's Injunction

This comparison to Magic Johnson and the court reference to the Larry Bird acquistion by Boston is just laughable. Magic became Magic at Michigan State, Larry Bird was a legend before he hit an NBA court. There is no way that JJ is in the same league as those two comparisons, nobody knew JJ...

Belkin WINS!!!: Judge grants Belkin's Injunction

Both the judge and Belkin are doing exactly doing what their titles represents. The judge is suppose to make a decision on what a governer is suppose to do. Belkin as governor is supposed to oversee decisions that affect the operations of his organization. The judge brought up economic...

Belkin WINS!!!: Judge grants Belkin's Injunction

I think Billy King is full of BS and his story was incomplete. He was the one saying that Belkin approved of the contract when in essence he got hung up on. So when you here click on the other end of the phone it is not a sign of approval Billy.

    Sarver on 910 at 5:00Pm

The more I dwell on the trading of the #7 pick to Chicago it pisses me off even to a larger extent. The pick we used in return was for Jackson Vroman, Chicago made us look even worse in the deal because they took Chris Duhon with the #38 pick, seven picks later. Duhon played better than any of...

    Sarver on 910 at 5:00Pm

It is nice to know that you can read JJ's mind, if so, you are the only one. JJ's statement "Nash's decoy in the corner" makes me think otherwise. Yes I am anti Q. I was pro T-Mac and pro Iggy and anti Q. Bryan tied up money on a RFA SG that they did not really expect to acquire, they were...

    Other S&T ideas?

LaFrentz could be had on the cheap if he is amnestied by the Celts. LaFrentz, like Thomas, opens the lane for Amare. JJ could be used for other components.
