    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

Vanderbilt isn’t in a large urban area?

    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

I do hope for your sake though Robbins tries to force the Big 12 to take you with us. Not that Michael Crow deserves it after enabling Larry Scott to destroy the conference for so many years.

    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

Even the blue bloods get caught in down cycles and middling programs catch lightning in a bottle for 5-10 year runs. You’re making it sound like every week would be Alabama vs Abilene Christian.

    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

You are 100% wrong here. They actually do want/need those schools. Nobody likes 6-4 Ohio State vs 5-5 Oklahoma even if they are two of the top 10 teams in the country. The networks ideal situation is a 16 team playoff with a couple random schools and fourteen 12-1 and 11-2 blue bloods from a...

    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

I’m curious where you would think schools like Houston, NC State, Kansas, Minnesota, SDSU, Bay Area schools, Pitt as a few examples end up in your hypothetical scenario.

    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

this is the overweight used car salesman at the bar suggesting the supermodel who just walked in is interested in him. I can assure you that ASU would Usain Bolt run to the Big 10 if they showed even a whiff of interest which they obviously don’t as of now. They’d be at absolutely best fourth...

I’ll also add that Stanford would be a huge get for any conference and is seemingly being left out of the conversations here. Besides Oregon and UW they also rank far above us in the pecking order. Likely Cal too by extension.

    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

Nobody cares about market anymore, it’s about eyeballs. More people watch Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, etc in Phoenix than they do ASU and UofA. If UofA gets an invite out the only reasons would be the basketball program and our willingness to engage with the Big 12 a year ago when the...

Dude that was 40 years ago. You don’t t think college athletics landscape has changed just a bit since then?

    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

If only one of us is left to some sort of bizarro Mountain West/Pac-10 hybrid I can assure you the one who escaped to greener pastures will not be doing the other any favors with any sort of home and home scheduling.

Kyler could have a bounce-back year that leaves us optimistic and still go 5-12.

It Really Is This Bad: Projected Starters 2023

Yeah we're gonna be bad. All I'm looking for is the team to be well-coached and competitive and Kyler getting his deep ball touch back.

Steve Keim on the Herd today

The guy does have good relationships around the league. After all the guy who buys shots and lap dances for everyone at 3am at industry functions generally is pretty popular.

Steve Keim on the Herd today

Anyone whitewashing Keim‘s tenure is completely delusional. Just today a buddy of mine and I laughed about how the guy used three separate top 15 picks on middle linebackers except none of which could actually play that position.

Does Any of It REALLY Matter for ASU?

What’s your bar? If it’s a natty then no it doesn’t matter. The disparity of money has gotten so extreme that PAC teams basically have no shot. If it’s being a competent, winning, and entertaining program that fans and alum can be proud of then sure.

    Valley Real Estate

Yeah I don’t want to speculate where this whole office thing goes but it won’t be pretty. Retail for the most part is doing fine especially restaurants. The funny thing is the consensus bet five years ago was that retail was finished (Amazon) yet here we are.

No clue how long her previous lease was in place for but likely was signed 10+ years ago. Not surprised rent has doubled as landlord’s operating costs probably doubled as well over that time.

    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

Despite the perceived indifference Stanford always gets about the same if not better TV ratings than the AZ schools in football. And they add the academics that the school presidents love as you mentioned. Would be an instant add over us.

    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

If the B1G adds four more west coast teams they’ll be UW, Oregon for obvious reasons. Then Stanford/Cal because the expansion will require a couple easier wins and said schools offer the academic prestige and Bay Area footprint to make the school presidents happy. The only life raft for the...

    USC/UCLA leaving Pac12 for Big10?

There’s been countless statements as to why the Big 10 if they expand west would be more intrigued by UW and Oregon than the Arizona schools. It’s about eyeballs more than size of market. And nobody watches the Arizona schools in football. Ratings and interest are mediocre at best. Like...
