    The Fun has Begun

I'm glad to hear Harry's endorsement, although him not being the guy to cover tight end's make's me nervous. Isn't that what we wanted out of this position? We've done pretty well stopping the run last year, we need to improve stopping those TEs!

    Deone Bucannon poll

Agree - he could end up being very solid (I think he will) but seems like we could have got him a bit later if we could have traded down a 2nd time.

    Mike Glennon?

That scenario would be worth a low 2nd rounder (320 points) on the trade value chart. I still think that's high. I'd be up for it if we could get him for a 4th. That said, if BASK decides it's worth it, I'm in. Those guys have a bit more experience evaluating and developing QB's then I...

    Mike Glennon?

Looks like Tampa is asking for a 2nd rounder for him. Seems a bit steep to me, but the coaches would have plenty of tape to make a better judgement. Cardinals are mentioned as one of 4 potential landing spots...

    Mike Glennon?

It looks like Mike Glennon is done in Tampa Bay. New regime wants a new QB. Glennon looked good last year as a rookie (good, not great) and seems to fit Arians criteria (tall with a strong arm). My guess is he's either released by Tampa after the draft or traded before. Would you be...

    Draft Preview: TE/OL

I'd be happy with Bitonio in the 2nd and either Niklas or Fiedorowicz in the 3rd. Although it looks like we'll go heavy on D.

    cbs cardinal recap

Agree on Hageman, but I think some 'elite' talents slide. Sheldon Richardson last year seemd 'elite' to me and slid to the Jets. The point is probably moot, as I think Clowney is the only elite DE talent in this class. Ealy would be an ok pick at that position and point of the draft, but it's...

    cbs cardinal recap

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/nfl-draft-scout/24535879/nfl-draft-arizona-cardinals-spotlight I hope we aren't interested in Hageman in the 1st. I'm ok with a DE but only if he's an elite talent that falls. Hageman doesn't have the motor to be elite in my opinion. I don't know much...

best/worst drafts in last 10 years

Interesting look back at the last 10 years and who has drafted best/worst. We're in the conversation, with our 2004 haul being the best. Luckily we escaped the worst category. Had they gone back a bit further, I'm sure we'd be there often.:p...

    most improved offense?

I'm sorry but I think we should be somewhere on this list. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000339342/article/redskins-ravens-top-nfls-mostimproved-offenses A legitimate left tackle replacing a poor one, addition of the speed WR to take the top off a defense, and a serviceable TE and RB...

Adam Schien likes us. he really likes us!

    Ginn signs with Cards

I totally agree. This offense has the opportunity to be scary good. And if we draft a legit TE - look out! We really needed this element to open our offense up and now we have it. I think this was a great signing.

Time for the young Texas LBs to rise up...

Yeah, I think pre-injury Acho was ok at SOLB. It's the WOLB that we need someone to show something (besides Abraham). This is one of the biggest needs for a talent infusion IMO.

Sit bit relax: It is going to be a few days

I agree with all this. Great post RugbyMuffin. I think we still do have two semi-urgent needs, speed OLB and tall-ish Safety. I don't think the need is so great that we "have" to pick one early, but to me these area's need addressed. The others, TE, speed WR, DE, RT, CB, etc. are wants, places...

    Ryan Shazier/OLB/Ohio State pro day

Yeah, but 6 years would be kinda crazy. He's a leader, very good player, just injury-proned. If he's medically ok'd, he'd be a great late round swing for the fence type pick. Also, i think he'd ball on special teams.

    Ryan Shazier/OLB/Ohio State pro day

The OSU safety prospect that I'd be interested in would be Christian Bryant. Loads of potential and some production but oft-injured (still is and can't work out). IMO, he'd be a great 7th round pick up.

    Ryan Shazier/OLB/Ohio State pro day

I watch alot of Ohio State games and Ryan Shazier can play, and will on Sundays. That said, I worry about our defense getting too small. DWash is small, the Honeybadger is small. We really need to get some length (and some girth on the edges). Ryan Shazier is a playmaker and I love the...

    values vs reaches

Looking at this article naming various value picks & reaches (http://draftcountdown.com/Results/Values-Reaches.php), I started questioning this line of thinking. I do it all the time, you see a guy slipping down the board, and your pick coming up and you start getting excited about this great...

    80th pick Jamell Fleming

That's good to hear from somebody who had watched this guy quite a bit. When you say 'dominating' do you mean like in press coverage? I've read totally conflicting things about this, one saying he was a press guy and the other saying he was a finesse cover guy. One also said he very good...

    80th pick Jamell Fleming

Disagree. Sure Levi Brown is the poster child for overdrafting for need but Acho was absolutely need, he just happended to turn out as one of the BPA's too (in actual production). Not really sure if he was BPA at that point (in the publication rankings), but he was for us because we had a...

    80th pick Jamell Fleming

I'm not sure what I feel about this guy. Don't really know much about him. I am encouraged on how many of you seem enthusiastic about him, but I felt like CB was one of our stronger positions. I would much rather have seen us take a OT, OG, OLB, ILB, DE or even S, and assume it was a...

I'm not sure people realize just how good Floyd is!!

Agreed. Also, it's extremely odd to hear a Notre Damer complain about the lack of media attention for one of their players. Really?? Notre Dame gets incredible attention irreguardless of the product they put on the field (which in the modern era has not been very good). That said, I do...

    Grading the division: Round 1

I agree, compared to the rest of the division, we had the strongest 1st round pick, although you do have to give the Rams credit for getting Brockers AND the 2nd rounder. I thought we had the best draft last year also, but both SF and Seattle ended up with pretty nice contributors.

Alright: Give me your 3rd Round Pick

I'd assume Massie, Glen, Martin will all be gone. Oddly enough, the guy I think could drop and I'd be happy taking is Mike Adams (who I railed against in an earlier thread). I think his talent and ability to play LT would make him a possible steal and very good value for the 3rd round. I...

Floyd pick just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm fine with the pick but this point really hits home - replacing Q. It seems like that's what we do, we draft players to replace the ones we lost (like Dansby - DWash). It seems like we're always REacting to the situations we find ourselves in instead of being proactive, planning ahead and...
