    Yeah I do think McFadden is slightly overpayed, but he is by no means a bad corner. He is one of those "What do I do when the ball is in the air" guys, but he is solid. Hardly the biggest concern of my offseason!! Those difference in those numbers are pretty big.

    I still think we are writing off Rashad Johnson too fast. In no way do I think we should stand pat, but even if we bring a vet in, I could see Johnson making a claim for that spot this year. I don't know what makes me say that, just a hunch.

    Thought of Howard when I saw that extra 3rd from Boldin. A chase-pursuit LB, but not the best run defender. Not sure he fits on the inside of the 3-4. Those OG and C getting to him in the second level, as they don against the 3-4 seems to highlight his weakness.

    Nope, and of our mythical "6" not all left via free agency. PLaying by their guidelines. The point was different starters from 2008 to 2009 and still make the playoffs. Then who was the starting RT, because he didn't start 2009 games and is no longer on the roster.

    Slight point to disagree. You could overpay both (not by just a little) and they would have stayed. But I don't think that is the best thing you can do. Assign a value to a player and stay as close to that number as you can, then be correct in that number. That is what smart teams do.
