    Brewers vs Dbacks Series Thread

I just got back from work and saw that we won 6-5. Then I checked MLB.com to see we scored all 6 runs in the 9th inning. Hopefully, this win get the team on a roll. Anytime a team comes back from being down that much in the 9th inning and does not even hit into an out is pretty impressive.

    Brewers vs Dbacks Series Thread

Sorry, I should have elaborated... in the last 35 ABs with runners in scoring position against Qualls, he has given up 16 hits. However, as stated in the link you provided, he has given up a total of 16 hits (in 48 ABs) with RISP on the year... that works out as a .333 average for hitters (and...

    Brewers vs Dbacks Series Thread

Blow more games Chad Qualls... I dare you. Did anyone hear that stat? Against Qualls with RISP, hitters are 16 for 35 against him?!?! And yet Melvin continues to just throw him out there with the game on the line. No reason this team is struggling to stay afloat. The bullpen continues to...

    Coyotes sign Fedoruk, Sauer

http://www.azcentral.com/sports/coyotes/articles/2008/07/01/20080701yotes-sauer.html I think that Sauer is a solid pick-up. However, I am less sold on Fedoruk. Do we really need another enforcer type? Also, does anyone think that the Coyotes will sign another solid D-man, or will they rely...

Uhh... look at their stats again by the end of the year... maybe you were confusing the two of them... Brook clearly was doing better offensively then Robin. They cannot even be compared. Brook stats Robin

    Diamondbacks @ Boston Series

He has already reached his career high in losses PRIOR to the All-star break and is very close to his career high in blown saves in a year. Further more, he has only had one hold in the last month that was in a one run game. He has been extremely inconsistent, which is what was said to be his...

    Diamondbacks @ Boston Series

but he has still lost 6 games. That is a huge amount for a relief pitcher prior to the all-star break. Quite frankly, in clutch situations, Qualls has not earned his pay-check. I have to agree. Qualls has been nothing but a disappointment since coming over from Houston. At this point I...

    Diamondbacks @ Boston Series

Let's think positively. Yes the D'backs have been killing themselves lately, but it is a new day and a new series. Here is to hoping that they can win take 2 of 3 from the sox! Oh and by the way, I hate Red Sox Nation just as much as Yankee Nation. They both need to burn!

    Dbaks Twinkies thread

That doesn't even begin to describe the 'baseball' that is being played by this team. I would like to see some fire from the dugout or Melvin in a post-game interview... but once again, my hopes will be dashed. I can see it now, 'Webb pitched good, just one little miscue led to a big inning. I...

CoJack playing outfield in the Metrodome? Wow... why would Melvin do that? The mad scientist strikes again as this team continues to shoot itself, not in the foot, but in the face.... multiple times.

Ballard, Boynton, 2nd rd pick traded for Olli Jokinen

The trade is growing on me... however, I still do not like giving up Ballard. Not to mention, what on earth are we going to do on the defensive end? I will be interested to see how the free agency period will round out.

Ballard, Boynton, 2nd rd pick traded for Olli Jokinen

I do not understand this deal. Yes Jokinen is a great talent, but he is also almost 30. Trading away a budding star in Ballard to get another star whose best years are almost behind him.... I just don't know. Are the Coyotes committed to their young talent or not? I really wish the front...

    Fire Melvin now!

Something needs to be done. It is beginning to be painful to watch this team. Losing 2 out of 3 to the Royals at home should have set off warning signs. After a hot start, teams began to figure out that all these players do is swing for the fences, so they adjusted; the D'backs continue to be...

Do the Diamondbacks need a star hitter?

The overall problem with the team offensively is that we live and die by the home-run ball. The D'backs need to play more small ball in order to win games when they are struggling to hit homers. There are players with speed on this team, but they do not utilize it to their advantage. Take...

    Time for a change?

I would love to see Chip Hale get a shot at managing this team. However, the Front Office is too committed now to Melvin and he will do just well enough to keep his job.

The Official 2008 MLB Draft Thread

I fully expect Preston Gulimet to go back to college. He had a very poor year after a great sophomore showing. Great late round picks by the D'backs included RHP Justin LaTempa (678 overall) and SS Ricco Torrez (978 overall, out of Brophy College Prep [AZ]). However, unless the Front Office...

RHP Bryan Shaw (2nd Round, 73rd overall) Could not find scouting reports on this guy... which is concerning, but he was rated as the #63 preseason overall college player by BA. Another relief pitcher? Has our recent bullpen struggles prompted this draft? It looks as if we have drafted...

The Official 2008 MLB Draft Thread

Good lefty reliever, can move quickly and be up with the big league club pitching in the bullpen by the end of this year. I do not see him having the stuff to be a starter, but he can be more than a lefty specialist. A decent pick. Check out this website for a good scouting report. I am more...
