Cardinals did not like something about suggs..

Yep. That was on of my favorite albums. "502", "Anarchy in the U.K.", etc. "So far, So good, So what..." describes the offseason. Good or bad means nothing until we see the team actually play some games.

Cardinals did not like something about suggs..

Dammit, Krang. You keep talking like that and you're going to convince me this was not such a bad draft. If that happens, boy am I gonna feel silly for the stuff I was saying earlier today...

    Are We Doing It Backwards?

Re: Re: Are We Doing It Backwards? With the number six pick we were all hoping they'd get a LOT better, rather than a little better. Actually, I think most folks were really hoping for an exciting pick to get hyped about the rest of the off season. These picks seem sort of ho-hum...

    No 4th round pick

That's the only thing nice about the trade. It sounds like the Saints reached pretty far for Sullivan. On the other hand they upgraded their #2 pick and got an extra #4 pick. Luckily I'm too lazy to go see what they did with those picks. That way I can wander around telling myself they...

    Gerald Hayes?

Michael Stone! ... :( Thanks for bringing up the CB's. Now I gotta go have another beer to cheer me up. mmmmm..... beeeerrrr.

    No 4th round pick

Someone may have already mentioned this but.... Man, that was a dumb trade.

Cardinals add two solid "need" players with first two picks!

Yup. Boy am I glad I have beer.

    Gerald Hayes?

I don't know when he's going to retire. But it sounds like this kid needs some time to develop, so its ok if he plays backup for a couple seasons. I agree there were better picks for the Cards. They are still hurting for DT unless Marcus Bell or someone has a major breakthrough.

    Krangs Official Mock Draft

I'm impressed. Too bad the Cards got the same names but are going to dish out 1st round money for a couple of projects though...

    Gerald Hayes?

Guess the Cards are really planning on Bell and Bryant to improve over last year. Sounds like lots of hoping and wishing going on for next season.

    Gerald Hayes?

ESPN and CNNSI had him projected as a mid to late second. Cards picked him up in the early 3rd. Not bad compared to the first round fiasco. I agree with you guys though, McKinnon's got to retire some day. This kid might be able to take over in a couple years.

Take Dewayne White or Rein Long at 70!

White went to Tampa. Its definitely time to get a DT.

Thrid Pick Anquan Boldin WR Fl. State

"This is a talent that because of his build and pure athleticism, could make an immediate impact. It is also a player that, if he can fine tune his route-running and hands, could develop into one of the league's most feared receivers." Here's hoping Sullivan's protege has learned his ability...

Thrid Pick Anquan Boldin WR Fl. State

Lee Suggs? The Cards have enough depth at RB. That's the last draft choice they need. :D

Thrid Pick Anquan Boldin WR Fl. State

I like the idea of the Cards getting someone wth a little bit of attitude on the field. Still thinking the DLine could use a little more help. Also thinking the Cards must have been very unimpressed with Marcus Robinson to got and get 2 WR's like this.

Cards Scout Steve Keim Gives Scouting Report on Johnson and Pace

Here's to hoping the scout is right. It might be the beer talking but I'm starting to think this may not be the worst thing the Cards could do. With the Cards luck, if they'd drafted Suggs he'd have blown out his knee in the 2nd game he played. Then retired.

    Here's Pace's Vitals...

" Needs to work on redirecting quicker as he struggles at times to get off blocks (lacks counter moves) and will generally get clogged up by the larger blockers when working near the pile. " Great. He should fit in well with the rest of the Cards D-Line.

    All the doom and gloom????

Yep. And I'm gonna go buy a lottery ticket today so I never have to go to work again.

So much for T Jones to KC....

Re: Re: So much for T Jones to KC.... Confusing? Maybe to an outsider. Butl to those of us who follow the Cards a little closer... Let me explain. Only one play-off win in 50 years. Now you know why. The only part we get confused about is how we still manage to stay fans of this team.

    Cards Draft Grade

Well, if you know what they put for the first two questions and they are worth 50% of the grade....

Organize and mobilize, disgruntled Cards fans!

You're thinking short term. I'm an optimist I figure with a couple rebuilding years, some more high draft picks, and a new stadium they'll be all the way back up to 5 wins in 2006.

Organize and mobilize, disgruntled Cards fans!

I am going to appeal to higher authority. Every night before bed: Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my Cardinals to get sold. And if I die before I wake, At least I won't have to see another 5 win season.

    The Spin at Cards Headquarters

So they gambled. Lost. Then compounded it by reaching for a need player instead of picking the best player available. Yep, they deserve all the derision that can be dished out. Boy do I love being a Cardinals fan. It gives me an excuse to stay drunk.

    How this happens

Sooooo.... I take it that means you didn't have him ranked higher than Suggs or Leftwich? The Cards basically gave one of them up for this guy and a second round DL player. There is no bright spot in this draft so far.

    How this happens

Yep. We've been patient long enough. I'd say its time to storm the castle. But the organization is too pathetic to even warrant a decent riot.
