Diaw - Johnson talk so much, what about...

I'm guilty of having brought this up before. I agree this isn't "lighting it up," but I have to say, based on what I'm seeing of KT and what Hunter seems to be up to in Philly, Hunter would have been fine as a long term center for the Suns. Absent, of course, the financials.....

    Stephen Hunter Update

Makes sense? I don't want to get into an "angels on the head of a pin" dispute about causation here. 99.9% of the discussion here is speculative, or else weirdly correlated observations that can be dismissed as nonsensical by any number of scientific measures. I seem to remember, though I...

    Stephen Hunter Update

I guess we'll just agree to disagree then. I don't think I'd call his minutes "heavy," for one thing. Granted he wasn't a good rebounder for us either. But my memory of the import of Hunter's shot blocking prowess is that it was significant for us last year, winning a game or two (and maybe...

    Stephen Hunter Update

Yes, exactly, that's my point. Perhaps the Suns are too conservative in stockpiling "safe" talent at the guards and small forwards, and not risk-taking enough with the big men. Counter examples can certainly be found (Tsakalidis, e.g.), but it's something to consider, and one hopes, not to...

    Stephen Hunter Update

Solid, not good. And certainly, not bad. I am looking in particular at the blocked shots, which in my mind at least, have a kind of multiplier effect on the tenor of the game.

    Stephen Hunter Update

Yeah, I knew there was some esoteric financial stuff. Question is, was there a way to keep him that involved another hard choice? Or, at least keeping him for less than Philly offered him? Perhaps unanswerable questions, but they go maybe to the philosophy of the team historically (big men...

    Stephen Hunter Update

I hope, but Grant will not be getting 5 blocked shots in two games. Nor will he be playing 65 minutes over two games.

    Stephen Hunter Update

He's the guy I worry about missing more than JJ or Q. Arguably he fit our system better than he will Philly's. I still don't get why he was so expendable: Against Milwaukee: MP 35:01 FGM/FGA 4-7 FTM/FTA 3-4 REB 4 TO 1 BS 3 Total points 11 Against Detroit: MP 30:04 FGM/FGA...

Suns Predictions Game- Thursday 3rd November

For the record, I was too eager to claim bragging rights with my last prediction (Suns 101 Mavs 100) after the first overtime and the Suns up 101-96. Two more show baskets by the Mavs would have sealed my prophecy. Ah well. Suns 110 Lakers 103. Marion top scorer. Please?

Game Thread: Preseason, Warriors @ Suns

KT has great hands, it would appear from this game, and we will see rebounding such as we have not seen in a Suns uniform in a long time. As people have been saying on this board, he's a position rebounder rather than a hustler and or a leaper. But man, do I worry about the lack of a really...

Arizona Republic article - Suns against Kings- Also note about Tischer

Holy cow, Paul Coro is writing as badly as he possibly can. Do they have editors over there at the Repulsive? You'd think maybe he'd pay closer attention at least to the first two paragraphs. The whole thing is awful, but the last sentence is pure gobbledygook...

    GM Survey Results

Not to quibble too much, but he's a Canadian national, regardless of his place of origin (which I was aware of). Thus, by any sensible definition of the term he's "international." That said, grahamcracker, I get the informal definition being used here and appreciate the explanation of...

This right here is going to be a problem, I fear. Accelerating the discontent of Marion is going to be a big storyline this year, if he is overplayed (probably inevitable) at PF.....

    Amare Out Four Months

I see, and agree. None of this is easy to do, though, obviously. I worry that BC/D'Antoni's instincts will run precisely counter to what you've suggested. Nash will be worked to death, and in the absence of any mid-term saviors, Grant will be made to dance until he drops. The economics...

    Amare Out Four Months

What does this mean? I ask in all earnestness. What would you have the Suns do now by way of folding the tent? They were going to play a deep bench anyway. Trades for picks???? Is that possible (I'm not a capologist, apologies....)? My sense is that we will see some interesting young...

    Suns.com technical help

Thanks for the link SirChaz, but I already have the windows media player. I don't think it's finding its way to the right application as you say, but I get an unusually defeatist (at least for Mac :p) dialogue box saying the protocol is not recognized so, in effect, forget it....any ideas?
