    Trade Proposal

It's very doubtful the Chargers re-sign Brees (he more than likely to be franchised and then dealt to the Cowboys for one of their two number 1 choices), but if they keep and sign Brees then Arizona should pursue Rivers using their number 1 this year and a player as trade bait (likely Bryant...

    Free Agent QB in '05

Rest assured, the Cardinals will sign a free agent QB and/or draft one in the first two rounds come April. They might even do both and let McCown go the free agent route, waive King, keep Navarre, sign a starter, and draft a kid (how about a darkhorse draftee-Adrain McPherson ex-FSU teamate of...

    If Shelton must go...

If Denny Green is down on L.J. and his days are numbered then I think the Cards should look to trade the LT. One potential good trade would be to send Shelton to the Chargers for holdout center Jason Ball and guard Toniu Fonoti. Ball is an exclusive rights free agent who has burned bridges...

A DT or LB Is The Next To Be Cut

It seems like the Cardinals always release players instead of trading them for future draft picks. The last time we traded someone for draft picks I believe it was Williams to the Rams for two picks. For some reason our players have no trade value with other teams.

The Raiders have inked Robert Gallery the number 2 choice in the draft: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=1847848 With his signing the Cards can parallel his contract numbers, escalators, and bonus money and should be able to sign Fitzgerald. The...

    2005 NBA Free Agent List

I forgot to add the restricted free agents from the Draft Class of 2001 to the list. That list includes such studs as Richard Jefferson, Pau Gasol, and Tony Parker. Most of these guys will get extensions and won't be on the market.

Bill Duffy on KTAR says we're getting a center

This just might be the deal Duffy discussed. The Suns get a five in MO (despite his laziness he is a true center) and another perimeter shooter in WS. Marion is the obvious key for the Wolves and his max contract comes off the books for the Suns. Although, Wally has a big contract with like 3...

Bill Duffy on KTAR says we're getting a center

Duffy being Olowokandi's agent makes this trade a possibility. Maybe the T-Wolves want another big time scorer (Marion). I'm like you I make this deal if it unfolds.

    Best Unrestricted Foreign Free Agents

    2 Restricted Free Agents

If the Suns sign Richardson and do trade Marion to get a center could they make a deal with the Blazers? Marion makes 10 million and center Theo Ratliff makes 10 million. Ratliff is one of the best if not the best shot blockers in the game and has always been a very good defensive player. He...

Gambo stated on Fox Sports that the Suns will use their remaining 7.5 million or so cap money and sign restricted free agents Quintin Richardson or Hedu Turkoglu to offer sheets. Eisley/Our #1 in 2005 for cap space?

I'm sure the Jazz or the Hawks would make that trade if it included the Bulls choice in the next three years. The Hawks are major league lottery in '05 and could use another high draft pick. Moving Eisley's 7 million would be nice.

    Ostertag

Doesn't he have just one kidney? I don't know if that effects your endurance or longetivity in this league but he has to be somewhat of a factor. He has bad hands, is slow, and never scores. He is big and can block a shot or two. He might be the guy you sign late in free agency.

Signing Nash was an extremely smart move

Thanks for clarifying that number. It's still going to be hard to get a center in the six to eight million dollar range.

Hey slinsan since you are a "know it all" how much $$$ do the Suns have left after overpaying for Mr. Nash.

Signing Nash was an extremely smart move

The Suns blew it with the Nash signing. They spent 13 million of their cap money on a 31 year old point guard that plays no defense. Kobe is the only free agent worth the 16.5 million or 99 million for six-year cap max contract. The Suns now have about 3.5 million left to sign what's left...
