    Zombie Survival Guide

Like zombie movies? Have you watched so many that you've secretly wondered what you'd do if the world was infested with zombies? Obviously the author of this book has. He adds a heavy dose of humor to the book, which is set up and reads like one of the numerous survival guides found at army...

Jim Collett..per jurecki - cards have asked ravens..

Purdue graduate says . . . If we hired Colleto as OC I will swallow my head! Colleto's offense at Purdue consisted of; option left, option right, incomplete pass, punt. When Alstott was there he'd give it to him 50 times a game. He was run out of Purdue on a rail for good reason. Great...

    Tremors 4

Hello, my name is mdamien13, and I am a Tremorsaholic. Actually I think the technical term is "tremmie" but whatever. I think everybody is in agreement that the first one in the series is one of the best monster movies to grace the silver screen in years. The sequels begin to split people...

    Movie-A-Day #95: Poltergeist

Interesting take, considering I would hardly consider Hitchcock a horror director. I could only manage to argue two of his films as horror - Psycho and The Birds (a case could be made for Rebecca, too). Mostly he'd have to be considered a suspense maestro, although those suspenseful films can...

    Movie-A-Day #95: Poltergeist

I think it's unfair to say that Spielberg unofficially directed this. That's been a very sore spot with Tobe Hooper, and Spielberg will vehemently deny this rumors as well. Touches of Spielberg can be found in the film, yes, but he was also the producer and not many movies escape production...

    Denny Green.. Front Runner?

For some reason the thought of Michael Bidwill and Rod Graves taking Denny Green out for a test drive isn't sitting well with me. That said, I'm against retread Dennis Green. The man will go out a la Buddy Ryan and destroy any positive momentum this team has. He failed to get one of the...

    What do you guys think?

JJ came on strong at the end of the season for ND but I don't see anything in him that I didn't see in Thomas. Also, I think with the bad blood between TJ and the Cards the chances of the Cards taking his brother are slim to none.

    The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake)

This is insinuating that the remake had imagination? Thank God for Jessica Biel in that movie otherwise it would have been completely unwatchable. I'd put her on my top 10 list for sure but I've had to sit through Rules of Attraction and TCM to see her (I refuse Summer Catch)

    Big Fish

Can't say enough good things about this movie. I'd have to revise my "Best of 2003" list to include this one in there. Perfectly cast and visually stunning, this is a fantastic movie that works on so many levels it's amazing. For those unfamiliar with the plot, Big Fish is about a dying...

Dark Tower series by Stephen King

Always been a huge SK fan but I just started the Dark Tower series. I have to say after the first one I'm kind of scratching my head. Definitely falls into the fantasy category and piqued my interest enough to get me to read Drawing of the Three but I wouldn't even put it on my top 5 SK...

    Movie-A-Day #91: Batman Returns

I thought Billy Dee was originally D.A. Harvey Dent (aka Two Face)?

    Movie-A-Day #91: Batman Returns

Good choice! I need to see this again, as it's been many moons. If I remember right, I liked everything about it quite a bit except two things; 1.) There was too much going on. As a sequel this didn't flesh out the character of Batman any more nor did it give proper attention to...

    Best and Worst of 2003

I have to see Master and Commander. Damn! How could I forget T3? That was one of my favorite movies of the summer. An action film without slow motion action sequences - what a concept! :O

    Best and Worst of 2003

Both of these movies were good but for me they weren't amongst the best of the year. I thought Pirates was a fun movie but everytime Johnny Depp wasn't on screen the film dragged. Once Upon a Time in Mexico had so much going for it but Rodriguez needs to be held accountable for putting...

    Best and Worst of 2003

Oh, I almost blocked From Justin To Kelly out of my mind but yes, that movie is as bad as advertised. It's no House of the Dead, but it's mind-numbingly bad all the same.

    Keep McCown and trade down

I see. Any way we can package Anthony Clement with someone for a 1st rounder?

    What was Wilson doing???

I don't know, but on that same play it looked like Dexter Jackson was trying to beat him to the end zone and then tackled Adrian Wilson instead. I was laughing at my TV, and if I remember right the announcers replayed that one over and over.

Will you root for Jake to win a SB?

My sentiments exactly. I have no problem with Jake but I hate Denver and Shanahan.

    Keep McCown and trade down

Great idea. Problem - where are we going to get three 1st round picks?

    Best and Worst of 2003

I thought of adding both Matrix sequels but they didn't muster enough emotion out of me one way or the other. Rarely can I say that I felt complete and total apathy towards a film but the sequels were completely pointless IMO.

Official Lord of the Rings Thread

Review coming from someone who doesn't remember the books well at all. LOVED IT!!!! LOVED IT!!!! Peter Jackson, you da man! Movie wasn't perfect, as some have said. Had a minor pacing problem and I could have done without the whole Arwen angle but oh well. Ending was a bit dragged out...
