    Shoot 'Em Up

Caught a matinee of this yesterday. Long story short; catch this on HBO or rent it and fast-forward between gunfights. Otherwise, you will be forced to endure one of the worst plots and some of the most excruciating dialogue since Halle Berry's Catwoman. What the heck Clive Owen and Paul...

    Shoot 'Em Up

I was really looking forward to this movie until I realized that it's written and directed by Michael Davis, who also wrote and directed Monster Man, which is one of the worst horror movies I've ever seen, and 100 Girls, which is one of the unfunniest comedies I've ever seen. Still, it's hard...

    Q as third QB?

I just had repressed memories of Jeff Blake and Shaun King surface. Thanks a lot.

    Matt Trannon PS?

Funniest quote of the day so far, for all the right reasons. Trading Fitz for Faneca is funny for all the wrong reasons.

Does anyone else find themselves a little shocked

Yeah, he breaks so many tackles that when he goes down right away I have to do a double-take. Kind of like that busted play against the Chargers when he was lined up in the backfield and got tripped. Can't wait to see him bowl over a few cornerbacks in the regular season!

The sad tale of Rod Tidwell

I am an easily amused person and I didn't laugh once at this. What the hell was the point?

    Rob Zombie's Halloween

I agree 100%. I was watching some clips from the original and it just reminded how creepy the original MM was because he had absolutely no emotion, and there was no explanation given for his madness. Part 6 attempted to offer some backstory into his family and youth and, put nicely, it was a...

you know your a hopeless cardinal fan when...

You know you're a Cardinals fan when your co-workers want you in the office Fantasy Football pool because they know you'll homer and pick nothing but Cardinals players, hence guaranteeing a victory about every week for the other guys.

    Rob Zombie's Halloween

I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I love horror movies and would love to see a more in-depth look at the villain of a slasher film. On the other hand, I am completely against Hollywood's current remake fad and don't understand why anyone feels like the original needed to be...

Per Rotoworld ...... Korrodi is Cut, Lang Campbell is signed

I had hopes for Korrodi but man did he look awful against the Texans! I miss Preston Parsons - at least he always came in and lit up the 3rd team defenses he played against in the preseason.

    ASFN's Top 10 Horror Movies

Good choice! There's a DVD available but unfortunately the only surviving prints are the heavily cut versions without the original ending. Still a good and effective movie, though. The climax is one of the creepiest sequences ever.

The Official 2007 Arizona Cardinals Bandwagon

Get on or get runover! There won't be much room on this thing by the end of the season. *sounds suspiciously like what I've been saying for most of my life, but this year I mean it!*

    ASFN's Top 10 Horror Movies

1.) Night of the Living Dead - 1968 version, not 1990. Still ranks as my top "spam in a cabin" flick. I love the subtext of the film and the production value for such a low budget. 2.) Texas Chainsaw Massacre - 1979. The atmosphere of a hot, sticky mess and terror happening in broad...

    300 (Frank Miller)

Amen! The actual Battle of Thermopaylae is an incredible story and hopefully someone does a better job telling it onscreen sometime (maybe w/ an adaptation of Gates of Fire?) I should preface my comments by admitting that I am a history buff and could not get past how many liberties they...

Best movie moments since 1990 - SPOILERS POSSIBLE

I'd also add the scene in Children of Men where they're chased in the car by the angry mob and the assassins on dirtbikes. I'll also add; - (Suicide Kings) when Denis Leary beats the girl's abusive dad w/ a toaster - (Beautiful Girls) Timothy Hutton's "winnie the pooh" speech to Natalie...

    Nintendo Wii

Just got one of these, but I had to buy the "bundle" from a Play N Trade so the final cost was $474. Still, I think it was a great buy so far and all I've been playing are Wii Sports and the Resident Evil 4 port from the Gamecube. Anyone else fallen in love w/ downloading old Nintendo games...

This book is pretty awesome, and even though I think the movie will deviate from it quite a bit I'm really looking forward to it after seeing the trailer.

    Man With the Screaming Brain

I love, love, love Bruce Campbell but I went to the screening of this when he stopped in Tempe for his book signing and this movie is awful. Bruce even admitted in the Q & A before the movie that the budget was meager and he had to rewrite the original script from its East L.A. location to its...

    Movie-A-Day # 240 From Dusk Till Dawn

Great choice! Even if the film is a bit uneven from first to second half, it's still a fun ride and I think this is Clooney's best role. If you ever get a chance, check out the feature-length documentary about the filming of this, Full Tilt Boogie (included in the double-disc DVD from Miramax).
