Things This Team Always Does That Never Works

You are being generous... I'd by psyched if we actually completed a screen pass, let alone gained 5 yards.

    Cards Vikings 2001 Game Thread

That sack is on Kolb... he has no friggin pocket presence... instead of stepping up into the pocket, he steps back??? on an outside pressure??? He's killing us...

A Flaw in the NFL's Defense of The Call

Yes, Drilled was a bit of a strong word... but he was 'contacted', which in the event of a defenseless (aka - surrendered) player would be a PF. My point is that one can't exist without the other... if he was down, then it's a PF to tackle him when he gets up. Since that wasn't even...

A Flaw in the NFL's Defense of The Call

I know this is becoming a dead horse, but here's an objective question that challenges the NFL's position on "the call": If Cruz had 'given himself up', much like a QB sliding... then the whistle should've blown while he was on the ground and there should have been a personal foul on the Cards...

Can Whiz ever "win" without Warner?

I couldn't answer this poll, because its missing one option: Yes, because we're in the NFC West. I honestly think he can win cuz the west sucks...

    A Graves Situation

I don't think it's a talent issue with the red birds... I'd put our lineup against just about any team in the NFL with respect to individual talent. The reality in the NFL is that there are two ways to be a winning organization: 1. Have a top 5 QB (talent at one position - see Cardinals...

Who will Ken Whisenhunt throw under the bus this week?

Well... it didn't take long for Whiz to blame the offensive "execution"... (note: not his shi**y play calling): “That’s two weeks in a row we had the ball in our hands with a chance to do something,” Whisenhunt lamented. “And we weren’t able to execute.

    AW a Liability???

Did anyone get a good look at the coverage on the 4th down touchdown? All angles I've seen show PP21 underneath the route (poor position), but then AW coming very, very late over the 'top'. It may not have been his responsibility... but I haven't seen a good enough angle to figure it out...

    AW a Liability???

Good point, although it's still a designation from the sports writers, not the coaches. Strong Safety is a lower profile position, so the writers seem to run with the 'known names' at that position... with that said, it does carry more clout than pro bowl.

    AW a Liability???

You're exactly right... to be honest, I've never understood why he's ever been a pro-bowl SS. It seems to me that he's gotten there by being a 'Sportscenter Player'. He makes the big hit, a nice sack, possibly an interception in the curl/hook zone (when at LB depth), ends up on...

    AW a Liability???

I am so tired of hearing AW talk the talk and not walk the walk. He was the biggest liability on the field on Sunday... yes, I know he was coming back from a major injury, but shouldn't that time off have been a good opportunity to learn the new defense??? He was out of position a ton, most...

Our Team Leaders Need to Act Like Leaders

You're right that Brunnell is "a" leader, but Sanchez is "the" leader of that offense. Who would you say are the leaders on the Cards?

    Long live Whiz

I don't think we've seen how good a 'coach' Whiz is yet... Hall of Fame QBs make coaches look much better than they are (who's the Head Coach of the Colts??? Oh yeah, who cares... they have Peyton Manning). He showed the insight to hand the reigns over to Warner, so kudos on that...

Our Team Leaders Need to Act Like Leaders

I heard on the radio earlier this week that Mark Sanchez gets "fined" by Brunell for every time he catches him showing 'bad body language' on film. Sanchez said how conscious of it he is now and how it helps him lead... Got me thinking about how sick I am of seeing our two leaders: AW and Fitz...

    Wilson needs accountability from Wilson

DCR, I couldn't agree with you more... I would argue that AW is more LB than Safety. I understand that he's really not custom built for either position, but his inability to cover TEs (especially right down the seam) makes him a lower liability underneath at LB. I've never heard a player...

    Crowd reaction

This makes no sense at all! Based on this logic, I would expect that you never do any of the following (since they are symbolically representative of 'booing'): 1. Throw your hands up in frustration when the team performs poorly (imagine if the team were to see you... they would be devistated...

This is why I miss Todd Haley

I wish you were a D-coordinator in the NFC West! If a team put 8 in the box every play, we would average 49 pts/game... Seems to me that the team is out of sync, not calling bad plays, just missing on them... in a timing offense, being off by a second kills a play.

Boldin is no longer an elite receiver

If it were just his fumbles it would be one thing... but he's got other knocks on him: 1. Fumbles 2. Injury issues (not broken face, which he was superhuman about... but hammies, knees...) 3. Speed, he just doesn't seem to be able to get open like he used to. Teams are gameplanning Fitz and...

Bickley Implies Boldin's Hammy is tied to his contract

Well stated... Q is hurt way too much and seems to always be seeking drama. If he were on this message board, he'd probably quit it just to create drama, then come back relishing in the drama... (no, I'm not pointing to any poster in particular) :D

    Is this really necessary Kurt?

I certainly bugs me that he wouldn't take some responsibility... even in the super bowl when Q's spacing (didn't line up wide enough) on the 99 yard pick-6, KW took responsibility... His demeanor seems different than last year. My real concern though is his hip... Seems like way too many of...

oficial brian st pierre fan club

This is unconfirmed, but I heard that BSP has 'Pictures' that Whiz doesn't wan't released.... ha I truly can't explain why a coach who LOVES open-competition at all positions would make such an obvious point of defending a bad QB by throwing everyone else under the bus. One last pet peeve...

The little things that make Whiz a good coach

Moklerman, Great analysis... in 2 throws, you've completely evaluated two NFL caliber quarterbacks. Sanchez, start posing for the bust, Canton awaits... Matty, by trailing Q on one throw, pull up a chair next to Ryan Leaf. Who needs the pre-season to evaluate players?... just have them run one...
