I won't stick around too long. I know all too well the feeling of needing to lick your wounds after a tough loss, and not really wanting to deal with fans of other teams.
I just wanted to stop by and congratulate you on a great season. The Saints were on today and in front of a home crowd...
Out of curiosity, how did you get the home and away radio broadcasts? That's pretty slick. If you have any Packers stuff of this sort (preferably, um, wins...) I'd be very interested in getting something as well.
I wasn't sure if you were only a Cardinals fan doing Cardinals games, or if you...
I appreciate the offer, but I'm born and raised die hard. :)
Twenty years old, and I've never missed a Packer game.
I am, however, a fan of good football, so if the Cards continue to play good football, then I suppose in a roundabout way I'm a fan.
Point A - Probably true. Hard to overcome that. They did, but it took a herculean effort to get from where they were (31-10 after the first drive of the third quarter) to force overtime. I would think that's a learning experience for a team if there ever was one. But boy can these two teams...
And for what it's worth, I was reading post game interviews, and I'm glad not a single Packer mentioned a call or non-call in relation to the result of the game. This made me laugh though.
Thanks for the kid words, fellas.
A few things I'll take out/hope the team learns from this game.
1) If Warner isn't the best playoff QB of all time, I'll kick myself. Wouldn't it be ironic if a game against the Green Bay Packers propelled Warner past Starr as the highest rated playoff...
I'm not sure if you're a Packer fan or not, but it's not good natured of us to complain and won't change anything one way or another at this point. There's still eight months before I get to see Packer football again, so quabbling about this penalty or that penalty is useless.
The one I AM...
No team that gives up 51 deserves to win. I've got no beef with the fumble/non-facemask at the end. It really didn't affect the play. Should it have been called? Maybe. But do the Cards retain possession or is it a Packers first down? Too many questions. It was one finger hooked around the...
Happy game day (at least here in the central time zone) Cards fans. I've enjoyed the banter this week. Now that game day is here, I won't be on at all today. Too anxious. Too many butterflies. Just too ready. The last time my guys played a playoff game, I was in attendance on a frigid...
That's awesome. Really.
But it's a hollow argument. Teams are what they are. They are what their record is. They are how they come together to execute at this time of year.
This team has the benefit of a great leader in Kurt Warner, and the team seems to draw from his extended focus...
Well of course they have a chance. If they didn't they wouldn't be here. It's rare that a that a team makes it this far by chance. But I am honestly convinced, top to bottom, that the Packers have less holes as a team than the Cardinals do and have executed much better down the stretch. I...
Of course not. But to this point I've now watched ten other Cardinals games, including the Vikings game, and I don't feel like this team can hang with a Packers team that has been as hot as any team in the NFL.
There's something to be said for the run the Cardinals made last year, but it's...
It's a current stat based on sixteen games of the regular season (or, apparently, just fifteen as I've been reminded a bunch this week). It's wise to not get excited about much in the first six or eight games. Just ask the Broncos. But at this point, you are what you are. There's no hiding...
Oh, you were serious? You must have missed the story. There was 14 inches of snow on the ground in the 8 hours before that game, and still a foot coming during and after the game. Roads were closed, so the only way to get to the game was on foot or via snowmobile. The fact that 20,000 people...
I fail to see how much of what I have said this week constitutes trolling. And I'm increasingly surprised at the failure to see the difference between the 4-4 first half Packers and the 7-1 second half Packers.
Since week 8: Kurt Warner sacked 9 times in 7 games and a series.
Aaron...
That's still nearly a third of your stadium in a home playoff game for a team that represented the conference in the Super Bowl last year.
That's another thing I don't understand... what does last year's three game playoff run have to do with this matchup, an entire year later?
And why...
