I can't argue with the win and yes he's a marvelous blocker, but I still feel Shipp is more dangerous as a runner and a receiver at this stage of Emmitt's career. Emmitt can still make you miss and he got several first downs on his own, but he is not as dangerous as Shipp.

That said I think Bickley's counting runs of 2 yards or less is kind of unfair you can't really tell how many SHipp would have as well it's not like Emmitt is missing big holes.

I'd like to see it more like Emmitt 15 carries, Marcel 10.

The dilemma is Emmitt's a much better pass blocker so you can't take him out on pass downs. and you can't use him on pass downs only.

MAC would not consider 25 touches for his running backs as a successful implementation of a game plan. More like 35, 40. If it's down to 25... Emmitt will probably get close to 20.

You're wrong on that one Shane. He dropped Sharper who was coming on a blitz. In fact, when Sharper saw Emmitt didn't have the ball it looked like he decided to try and leap over him to get in Blake's face.
