IDK. Dallas brass says they want him to stay. Kidd says he wants to play for a team that has a chance to win a ring. Maybe cleveland is his desirable stop, but who knows. I think he has done well for dallas, but the mavs lack dribble penetration at the guard position. and unfortunately when they booted harris their offensive burdons went straight to dirk to bail the mavs out in cases in terms of the half court setting. everything goes through 41 in the halfcourt. he needs help.
Actually, I never liked Kidd's game as much as I did the last month or so. He knows how to fit in and be useful and take over for spurts at the right moment when the team needs it, like Stockton was the master of back then. Without much of ball handling, he has great energy for excellent defense. His posting up, now maybe his only dangerous weapon left, is better than ever. So, I'd like to have him sign here for cheap if we trade away Nash and get cap room in the process. Otherwise, he'd be a huge help anywhere, Denver, SA, Magics, Pistons, Blazers, Heats.
