Darren has been one of my favorite since tearing up K-State. His college highlight reel is a must see.

Yes and Suggs wants to come back to the valley

HOWEVER; the Ravens have stated that they might franchise him next season

Terrell Suggs, UFA, Baltimore Ravens
Played OLB his DROY year, as 90% pass rusher. In the Card's 3-4/4-3 he'd be a star.

I would like to just build out of the draft and retain guys we already have.

However, I would backup the Brinks truck for Nmandi Asomougha

The majority of those guys won't hit the open market. Of the guys who might be available my two favorites on that list are Sproles and Kleinsasser.

Section11 and I were on the draft Sproles bandwagon but most everyone else said he was too small. He's not an every down back but he's a great kick returner and change of pace guy. He's electric when he runs with the ball.

And that's another reason I love you.

He's the only outside FA that I want and it wouldn't piss me off that much if we didn't get him.

My FA wish list right now consists mostly of our own players. Re-sign them and continue to build through the draft.

Nnamdi Asomugha and Terrell Suggs are two that I would look at, but both will bring a hefty price tag.

^Yeah especially if Suggs keeps returning balls for TDs every week.

Another guy who i'm pretty sure is a FA next year, and would be #1 on my list, is Chris Gamble.

Question regarding our cap. Would we be able to re-sign Dansby, Warner and extend Q and get Gamble and Jordan Gross?

I figure that Gandy, Berry, we are not going to re-sign Green, and may not re-sign Rolle. Plus the expected releasing of Edge and quite possibly Okeafor to free up more cash. We should be able to do those things right?

FA:
OT Jordan Gross
CB Chris Gamble
OLB Karlos Dansby
QB Kurt Warner

Draft:
OLB Brian Cushing
OG Herman Johnson
FS Patrick Chung

RB- Sproles, and if we can't get him cut Edge, resign JJ as our returner on the cheap and draft a back to fill the roster
OL- Birk is the only one I would pay more than a minimum contract
LB- Lewis is a pipe dream, Farrior I would consider if the price was right
DB- Dawkins would be a huge upgrade, but is probably a pipe dream, Asomougha could move us to the next level too bad we won't have the money for him unless we let Warner and Dansby leave and don't extend Boldin. Realistically I'd take Gamble.

Dawkins and Birk are big names who are way, way past their primes. Dawkins is about 60. Those are the kind of free agent signings we need to avoid like the plague. That's what the 1990s Cardinals did - big dollars for ancient players with great resumes but not much left.

You do realize he's 36, right? It's not a pipe dream. The Eagles would laugh their asses off if we offered him more than the minimum and let him walk.

It's more that he is highly respected in the franchise and I doubt he leaves. Yes he's 36 but I still think he's better than Rolle in just about every way.
