Smith even called a couple of plays during that loss to the Colts, after the headset in his helmet malfunctioned and prevented him from communicating with Raye in the first half
Smith's current value to the 49ers goes beyond proving that he's still worth the investment they made him. His other notable achievement over the last two weeks is making the players around him better.

uh yeah once alex figures out not throw it to people that covered....he will be gold....but i think there's about 10% percent that alex will ever figure that out.

Vegas, baby, yeah!
It may just be me, but it seems that when you get a OK QB who's just put in the lineup, they light the world on fire for the first few games. I think it's because there's no recent game tape on them, which leaves defenses unprepared. After a few games, however, D's can start really preparing for them, have a good feel of the plays that will be called, and will make the QB appear much more average.

That's a good point........Should be interesting to see how Alex plays after other team defense's get tape on him.
He should have a very good game against the titans.....the titans are last in past defense.
Two things that I'm impressed with Alex Smith is that when flubs up, he doesn't hang his head....(2) Alex doesn't stare down the receiver.

It has started...

I have Chris Johnson on my fantasy team. Made it home from the Cards gamr in time to see him score on the option.

Thank you seven squareds!

Scary thing is Chris Johnson is barely getting started, there isn't a defense out there that can stop him.

"Alex had one play that was on him," Singletary said.
Otherwise, Singletary said the first interception was the result of a "lucky bounce" as Smith threw for Michael Crabtree, and on the third interception "Jason (Hill) could have made a better play on the ball coming back to it." The fumble was caused by the helmet of a Tennessee player hitting the ball as Smith drew back to throw in the third quarter.
On the fumble, Tennessee defensive end Jacob Ford beat right tackle Adam Snyder with an inside move to pressure Smith and force the fumble with his helmet

Ronin, a win is a win, and I'm a fan of all football, but that was a hard game to watch man. Was it 4 or 5 turnovers, and both sides just couldn't get anything at all going.

That was all sorts of ugly.

The 49ers main problem on offense is the offensive line, they can't run block or pass block.

I like what i saw out of Smith, VD, Crabtree, Gore.
I'm going to lose my damn mind if the 49ers draft a QB.
