Ok - so we have two confirmed for Monday, one for Tuesday, one for Wednesday
To be fair, it was actually the second pitch But I know what you mean.Bases loaded, 2 down, Rodriguez has walked two of the baserunners. Cowgill comes up and hacks at the first pitch he sees. Dribbler to 3rd, inning over. Against a pitcher he has never seen in his life.
Good job rookie.

I cannot believe we are losing 7-0 right now.
PLAY WITH SOME URGENCY DAMMIT!

I'm surprised Parra did not start. I don't care about the lefty on lefty matchup. He did hit a homer last week off a lefty.
I think it is more a case of having every position player on the roster in "game" condition. It is an interesting debate.Honestly, would you rather have a .290 hitting Parra or Cowgill? I mean SERIOUSLY Gibby?
Even worse, the ones with a set spot in the order -- Johnson batting second and Young batting cleanup -- (as has been mentioned) is just wrong, and makes it more difficult for everyone else in the lineup to see good pitches.
Just got back. What an ugly game.
The biggest laugh of the night was the announced attendance of over 17,000. Yeah, right. Nowhere near that number. I'm sure it's based on tickets sold and not actual bodies through the gate.
You literally could count the people in the ballpark.
We were sitting in 306 and went down in to the Diamond level and sat in 204 and the indoor lounge area for different parts of the game. No one cared at all. Ticket checkers just waved you on without caring to check for a ticket.
Ridiculous to have such a small crowd for a team so close to the division lead.
I've always said this isn't a baseball town, but it goes deeper than that. If the Dbacks make the playoffs people will go to the games, but I think that too many people have deep seeded loyalties to other teams.
The NFL and NBA are still relatively new in terms of popularity so people who move here from other states will either switch to Cardinal or Suns fans or they will have 2 teams.
Most of the out of staters I know will kinda support the Dbacks, but they are Whitesox, Redsox, Yankee, Indian, etc. etc. etc fans first and foremost and they have no interest in going to the games unless it's the Playoffs or we are playing "their team."
I'm going tonight, hope it's a better game than last night. I dont like the energy I'm seeing from this team since we took the first 2 in San Fran.
Phoenix has only had a MLB team for what, 13 years or so? Many baseball fans here in the Valley are from cities and towns that have had teams for decades, if not centuries... Growing up 20 miles outside of Yankee Stadium, I will always be a Yankee fan... A-Rod and all...
However, I have absolutely taken on the D-Backs as my team as well and, should they face each other in a World Series again, I feel as though I couldn't lose and in many respects, wouldn't mind at all if the D-Backs came out on top.
Hope the battle in 2001 was not the last!
Wow. 7-1 in the 5th.
Is it time to push the panic button?

Mr. Disappointment just hit a 2-run bomb to put the Diamondbacks up 9-7!
