Just got in to caqtch game 1 with 9 minutes on the clock. Heat was up by 6, but Lebron bricks 2 shots in a row, and called his coach for a time out. If you hurt, why are you shooting it?

Unless LeBron is having back surgery tomorrow, how the hell is he NOT in this game?!

What the hell is going on? Lebron comes back in, makes a drive and the shot, then gimps out again but now it's his leg or foot or something? This is nuts, He should have been hydrating for this game for days, considering he's had these PMS symptoms before.

Does somebody have Lebron's family held hostage at an undisclosed location?? This is crazy. Spurs better not fix the AC, the Heat cant handle the .... Heat!!

Lebron had had leg cramp issues for years. WTF has he done to figure it out?

Well, that was definitely weird. That game will absolutely fan the flames of conspiracy which plagues the NBA far more than any other sport. I mean, reporters were asking Spoelstra, with a straight face, if he thought the AC had been turned off on purpose.

Well the NBA should replay this game. How bush league is that? It is also not the first time the Spurs arena is in the news.. Surely the NBA has some regulation for the climate inside the arena.
My guess is that it is an advantage for the Spurs since they live off of their deep rotation while Miami relies on Lebron heavily.

Before it was bats or snakes in the visitors locker room.

As someone who's had many bouts of leg cramps in the past, I have complete sympathy for Lebron in this instance. Once they start due to dehydration, it's near impossible (or was for me anyways) to get it under control in a timely manner. It's not something you can just treat and get back in the game.

How it is bush league? Did Tim Duncan have or Tony Parker thier own AC keeping them cool? There are both old men who had to play in the same conditions as LeBron. Heck, Wade lasted the whole game and that is not common in good conditions. There are professional athletes who train year round, so 90 degrees is nothing. Ask Adrian Wilson what it is like to run full speen in 115 degree and sun whil wearing full pads and a helmet.

What's next, Lebron gets cramps because they ran out of Pierre and we have to replay the game?

Exactly, there are things you can drink beforehand that help but once the cramps start you really have no control of them.

Anybody ripping him for not playing has probably never had leg cramps, it's agony.

I can't believe they don't have backup power to run the HVAC.

It's the equivalent of weather in football: both teams had to deal with it.

Unless Bruce Bowen is now the Spurs' facility manager. Then it was on purpose.

There is absolutely no reason to replay that game unless you just want the Heat to win. Both teams played in the same conditions, well, the Spurs looked like they were in better condition.

Seriously...one guy, who has a HISTORY of getting cramps at big moments, gets cramps...and the entire game should be replayed? I'd say this is the most ridiculous thing Slin has ever said, but funny enough it's not even close. Still ridiculous though.

I hope your kidding. There's no way that any human being on this planet could play a Finals game while being in that kind of pain and through those back spasms.

I'm calling LeBron an idiot for even trying to come back and playing through it (that's when he hit the layup).

This isn't like the flu or something. He could have ended his career there or had very serious health problems going forward. He needs to be smarter and think of the fact that he has a wife and kids.

Many years ago we were fishing in Loreto in Baja, second day, 100 degrees. I had been drinking water regularly but we didn't know they had Gatorade so we had none on the boat. We were catching black skipjack which are a tuna and they tend to fight like made, they just go in spirals and take forever to land, break rods etc. I started to notice some odd cramping in my toes and hands but didn't think much of it just kept drinking water.

I was fighting a fish when my hands and feel full on locked up in cramps. I told my dad I needed him to land the fish I couldn't use my hands to reel it in. He came over and had to literally pry my fingers open to get the fly rod out of my hand so he could land it. The guide assisted me sitting down and gave me water which did absolutely nothing.

We went in early went into town and bought gatorade and then found out we could actually get it on the boat too. I drank 2 gatorades, ate a banana and no more cramping the rest of the trip. now when I go I always have gatorade and I drink Nuun for breakfast to get my electrolytes up. I still occasionally get toe cramps while sleeping when there(been a few years) but nothing like that.

But in that situation it was literally impossible for me to land that fish, the only reason it didn't just rip the rod out of my hands and take off with it was my hand locked up on the rod and reel so it couldn't. I've had cramps playing basketball too, many years ago. it's debilitating. Once it starts it's just not something you can play through.

Wasn't his back or spasm. His leg cramped up.

"It was the whole left leg, damn near the whole left side," James said.

It was spasm.

LeBron James had to leave Game 1 late in the fourth quarter with severe cramping, needing to be carried off the floor to the bench.

James attempted to reenter the game, but Erik Spoelstra didn't allow him with the game slipping away.

"I was going to try to give it a go and Spo said no. It sucks at this point in time in the season. You know, after I made that layup we was down two and, you know, as well as they played we still had a chance. You know, after I came out of the game, they kinda took off. And it was frustrating sitting out and not be able to help our team."

James' whole left leg was cramping.

"The best option for me to do was not to move. I tried and any little step or nudge, it would get worse. It would lock up worse and my muscles spasmed 10 out of 10. Best thing for me to do was just not to move, and, you know, it was frustrating."

Geez, give it a rest. There's nothing wrong with how James handled it. Any sane person knows he would have been on the floor if he thought he could contribute. It was just bad luck.
