Counting bledsoes cap hold, tucker cap hold, and warren/ennis, how much money do we have left after thomas signing.

Isn't it still like 23 million?

An average power forward/center with absolutely no range who's going to get seriously overpaid? I don't think that's what we need.

He is above average and the ability to play both positions could come in handy for us.

Also he can still get better, he is young.

Since Love can't be signed to an extension you would set yourself up for enduring Kevin Love visting the Lakers in 2015.

In a van...down by the river.

Big men with range and nothing else to offer seem to be fairly easy to find these days. Would you agree? IMO the Suns need Monroe's skills, and could just plug a hole with a 3pt shooting little/bigman to help space the floor in situations.
Is there anyone out there who would come cheap?

No Kevin Love so I can avoid gnashing of teeth if he goes to the Lakers.

Suns aren't asking monroe to be star player, they have very good talent at every spot, but need more up front.

Plug him in with that talent and you may have second deepest team in west, after s.a.

I like the fact he can score inside, I just wish he were a better defender. He's going to cost more than he's worth but I'd do it anyway. He's not too far away from earning that money and our need is great. The problem is Detroit matching. He isn't worth an overpay and the multiple outgoing assets it will cost us to get him, IMO.

Has there been a peep about Bledsoe? It's so quiet that it makes me think the Suns may have given permission to look for a sign and trade.

$9M per year for Hill? You have got to be kidding me!

At this point, I say we give Monroe the full max or work out a sign and trade. He can score inside, can play both power positions and rebounds well. Wish he had more range and played better D, but I think the Suns should do it.

That's the scary part. If they'll take something like the Lakers pick and Green I'd do it but I suspect it would take substantially more. And I'd miss Green.

Ok, this is crazy, but if we miss on monroe, why not give pau gasol a 1 year 16 million dollar deal.

We can then use the money again next offseason if needed, still have 7 million for this year, and he gets a huge payday.

I don't know what gets hurt more with Gasol, his feelings or his fragile body. Glassol folks!

If somehow San Antonio gets Gasol... they will be even stronger.

I'd miss Green as well, but the Suns just have to many back court players.

Bledsoe/ Thomas/ Ennis
Dragic/ Green/ Goodwin
Tucker/ Morris/ Warren/ Marcus Morris

Someone has to go. Likely can't trade Marcus without trading Markieff and can't trade Markieff because he's the only PF we have.

Not too crazy about giving up on that LA pick either.

Unless Bledsoe can be traded for a PF, I have no idea what the Suns can do to get some PF help. Trade Morris twins and Ennis for Valanciunas and a pick, then sign Ed Davis? Overpay for Gasol on a one-year deal? Tell LA we'll take Nash back if they send us Randle?

I don't think that's crazy at all. Suns medical staff may very well be able to extend Gasol's career, and we CAN pay him more than anyone else, really.

Your throwing lots of macoroni on the wall there, but I don't see any of it sticking.
