Who are the players in this draft with the most potential to be superstars and what would it take to get one of them?

I don't think Okafor or Towns will be superstars. They will be good bigs but there are not very many superstar bigs anymore. To me, Russell and Winslow are the two most likely.

So. The Philly at 3, NY at 4 or Orlando at 5. Would we be interested and what would it take? Winslow, Russell, Porzingis etc?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks pick is up for grabs, and seeing as there is not a sure fire star there I think people might be surprised at what it could be had for. If the Morris Twins were not in their mess I'd think something like our pick + the Morrii would be more than enough to pull it off.

I would love to see the Morris Twins go.

Here's the Suns pick from Sports Illustrated latest NBA Mock.

13. PHOENIX SUNS
WILLIE CAULEY-STEIN, C
KENTUCKY, JUNIOR | 7-0, 240
The Suns would love an offensive-oriented big to fall to them here. Cauley-Stein is limited offensively, but he is a versatile defender who can help solve the Suns' rebounding problems. And he is the most NBA-ready big man in the draft.

The Suns would love to add an athletic 7' that can run the floor and defend all frontcourt positions.

Play Len at the 5 and Stein at the 4 that is a monster frontline and WCS can definitely guard power forwards on the perimeter.

Anyone else hearing that Towns doesn't want to go Minnesota. Supposedly he's turning down workouts with the Timberwolves.

You don't even understand the ridiculousness of your post, I feel a little sad for you right now.

I always feel sad for you when reading any of your posts, I can't imagine how rough life must be being an illiterate.

I think they'll still take him if they want him. He'll suck it up and play.

The NBA draft is a joke!

My Suns "Fanometer" is at its lowest point since the drug scandal. Between the Lakers being handed the #2, the goofy trades, the twins, the lack of vision all I want to know is:

Why can't there be football in the spring?

Can you clarify, is the Lakers #2 one we gave back to them via these trades?

I know the Lakers pick was protected. I was referring to all the knee jerk trades this season.

No worries, my question was for real, I have trouble keeping track of all this stuff, thanks for clarifying

He came out publicly yesterday and said he'd be honored for the chance to play there. THat's public of course what he says privately may be different,.

I guess it's true then....
btw now the Timberwolves may look to trade out of the top spot.

Minnesota owner Glen Taylor suggested otherwise. Taylor added that trading the top pick was unlikely, but not totally out of a question.

"You never know what it could mean, if you could get the right one or two guys that could change your team," Taylor told reporters after the draft lottery. "When you already have a bunch of young guys, you have to look at this type of stuff. But I think it's a very hard decision to make."

It's too bad The Suns don't have enough assets to grab that #1 pick

I'm sure someone has already pointed this out, but I just now realized that the Wolves will have the last three #1 overall picks on their roster if they keep this one. That has to be unprecedented.

The two major draft sites, DraftExpress and NBA DraftNet, have the Suns picking SG Devin Booker at #13. Even Paul Coro has the Suns selecting him. A lot can change but it is interesting they have him going to the Suns this early.

I would trade every "asset" we have for that pick. It's a huge risk but I'd rather bank on one to those top prospects and completely build around them and live or die by their success/progress than anyone or anything else on this team.

If those Heat picks have any value, toss them in. Toss in the Suns lotto this year plus the Suns 1st rd pick next year and the Cavs 1st rd pick (probably has zero value but whatever) next year. Maybe even give them rights to swap our 2017 first round pick with them. And in terms of players idk, Bledsoe, and Len? Only two players I can see any team even being remotely interested in lol.

Even with all this I doubt Minnesota will even pick up the phone with this type of offer forthcoming.

This would do nicely, but the only way Cauley Stein falls to #13 is if the Suns were drafting for the other 12 teams in front of them. ;)
