Other than Greek Freak I'm not sure there's another young guy I'd take over Jokic.

Triple double in win over Warriors last night including 12 assists and 21 rebounds.

Orlando traded Oladipo and #11 in 2016 for Ross and #24 (worse among Toronto or Clippers 1st) in 2017

Their saving grace is that Sabonis looks as bad as expected (except by the legion of Sabonis fans on this board).

LOL and what legion is that? I don't think anybody has even mentioned him since the start of the season.

You always have these far out there theories and you try to back them up with either straight statistics or phantom opinions of others.

Type Sabonis in the forum search. Sabonis had probably more fans than any other individual player among Suns fans before the draft.

2016 was Sabonis, 2015 was Kaminsky

I don't remember anyone raving about Sabonis. There were a few of us (meaning, me and some others) that liked him for our pick but IIRC that was for our second pick, the one we traded to move up to 8 and grab Chriss with. And it's far too early to pass judgement on him.

Before the draft? Seriously? It's 2017 slin. And Sabonis hasn't even been mentioned since July. The only mention of him has been from you! LOL

This is from Alex Kennedy at HoopsHype in an article dated 2-14-17. If accurate, expect the Suns to make some moves before the trade deadline either trading for a star or assets. Could this give credibility to the Cousins rumor?

Today, I spoke to a general manager who was stunned that the Suns haven’t been talked about more leading up to the trade deadline because they are looking to make a big move.

The GM told me that the Suns would love to package their assets to acquire a star. Keep in mind, this is a team that has all of their first-round picks, incoming first-rounders from the Miami Heat (in 2018 and 2021), and a roster full of young players such as Devin Booker (20 years old), Alex Len (23), TJ Warren (23), Brandon Knight (25), Marquese Chriss (19), Dragan Bender (19) and Tyler Ulis (20) among others that could be packaged in a trade. Much like the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets, this is a team that has the ability to put together a very interesting package.

If the Suns aren’t able to add a star (since that’s always easier said than done), executives expect them to double down on their rebuild approach and try to accumulate more young pieces and draft picks.

Eh, he honestly said nothing that we didn't already know.

Suns are trying to land a superstar or their trying to gain more picks/young players. Seems like something we all already knew was the plan.

Vlade has come out and said it publicly that Cousins will not be traded so its time to end that chapter. Once a GM comes out and says that about their star player, it seems unlikely that they will trade him. Kind of like how Budenholzer said the same about Millsap.

However, it may be a possibility in the off season.

Supposedly the writer talked to McDonough but who knows as I didn't see quotes. The date on the article was 2-14-17.

I was trying to liven the place up so I was looking for anything new. :D

I'm not wanting the Cousins trade. Too much downside if he walks and the Suns deplete their assets. Still McDonough wants a star and he must be feeling some pressure to produce.

I hope the quietness in regards to Suns trade rumors and news doesn't mean McDonough is standing PAT this deadline.

There's too many roster moves that need to be done in order to just not do anything and wait till off season to do all of it.

Nah, I think everything breaks loose before the trade deadline.
