LeBron James pushing for a Melo trade?

2 mins ago – via New York Daily News
Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony apparently do have something in common: LeBron James as an ally. According to a league source, LeBron is the one pushing the Cleveland Cavaliers front office to acquire Carmelo even if it means trading Kevin Love, which is something Cavs management is opposed to doing. Jackson is hoping to move Anthony prior to the Feb. 23 trading deadline and one player the Knicks have targeted is Love, who had 23 points with 16 rebounds in Cleveland’s win over the Knicks last Saturday

Good grief! LeBron, way to dump your teammates! You just treated Kevin Love like the City of Cleveland, or was that Miami.

That's no teammate I would ever want to have.

Lebron called the report trash after the game and called out the source.

Ok. Well that HAD to happen whether or not the story is true.

I wonder what the truth really is.

Haven't read through the whole thread so apologize if this is not new.

Am I the only one who thinks the Magic are absolutely insane continuing to try and play Aaron Gordon at the 3?

I understand the politics involved, he's always wanted to be a wing, his dad insists he's a guard. I don't know if they got Ibaka to play Gordon at the 3, or they moved Gordon to 3 because they got Ibaka but what a colossal waste.

Aaron Gordon is a 4, he should be used the way the Warriors use Draymond, without the 3 pointers. He's an elite defender, great rebounder and passer and he can't shoot. Playing him at the 3 is stupid, he's averaging 4.6 RPG this year that's nuts but it's because of where they play him.

Someone needs to make a deal for him and put him at the 4, he won't like it but if he plays a full season at the 4 I think even he will finally realize that's his best position and flourish.

Isola is honestly a click bait journalist, he's hardly ever right.

I was hoping LeBron would say "it's fake news" when asked about it after the game. Would have been entertaining as hell to hear him say that.

I know we're not supposed to talk about it but Dragic's numbers from Jan 1st thru now are astronomical from an efficiency perspective.

Yeah but Bledsoe is having the best season of his career. Career high numbers in PPG, APG, FT%, PER and TS% :)

And Dragic's stats don't count, he's doing it on a losing team and while playing in the East.

I agree, Dragic' stats are inflated this season, presently about 6 points over last season but they cannot be totally discounted even in the East.

As good as Bledsoe has been playing, he is only scoring about 1 point more than last season which catches me by surprise. I thought there would be a bigger jump in his stats from last season. However, I think Bledsoe's steady rise shows he is reaching the peak of his game.
