Any one watch the Rockets blow out the Pelicans. I didn't but the score was a shocker with the Rockets winning 129-99 at New Orleans.

Lou Williams was a nice addition for the Rockets.

No surprise that Sactown started their post-Boogie era with a win. Cauley-Stein had his best game in the league going 14-22 + 10 reb. Labissiere went 5-7 to help - he should finally get a chance to play more than a minute per game. Toliver and Koufos started in the front court. Evans and Hield contributed 10-18 from the bench.

Yeah, I think that Kings win during the one game ban for Cousins changed a lot of things for that franchise. Even allowing for the possibility of it being a fluke, they saw a lot of happy players actually enjoying themselves for a change. I'm sure that opened the door for the trade and now that franchise gets to see what they really have.

And the Pelicans started the Cousins era with a loss.

Yeah and I'm just petty enough to be pleased by it but to be fair, it's much tougher to integrate Cousins into that lineup than it would be for the Kings to adjust. I watched that game and if they can keep Cousins (and keep his mild insanity under control), I could see possibilities there.

They should adjust with two of the better big men in the league. Anthony and Cousins are mobile and can shoot so I don't see why they can't win. However, I keep going back to the old days where big men once dominated.

Yeah, those days are long gone and I hope they stay that way. I'd like to see them take away some of the breaks they give to the offense (jumping into someone to artificially create a foul for example) but in general I prefer the new pace and space NBA.
