can you finally stop bringing up D'Antoni?

You know you are one annoying person. I understand why most everyone appears to dislike you on this board. You really don't know squat but you act like you are some kind of genius.

This is an around the league thread, correct. This is the place to discuss other teams. There are good things happening in Houston because the front office, the owner and the coach are on the same page. That always has been the case in San Antonio. It used to be the case in LA. It would be nice if this were the case in Phoenix. There are signs that we might see light at the end of the tunnel, but I have been fooled before. Hopefully we get it sooner than later.

MDA is only part of the story. The real story is how Morey has been able to keep the Rockets competitive by making numerous good trades, making a lot of good choices in the draft as well as coaching decisions. He also has been able to acquire franchise and great complimentary players via free agency.

Quite frankly this was the Suns prior to Sarver.

Sarver has been the owner for 13 years now. D'Antoni has been gone for almost 9 years!

At some point, your pointless argument is going to run out of steam, if it hasn't already.

Whoa is us! We suck and Mike D'Antoni has a good team! Waaaaah!

WHO CARES?

Then we are stuck with his contract on the salary cap. Better to wait until his value equals at least an expiring contract.

that means you hold on to him until the last year of his deal? No thanks. You're stuck with his contract either way in the above scenario until the last year and all the while, his cancer sits on the bench... or worse, on the court, making us worse in the meantime.

The Suns might hope to buy him out sometime before his contract expires but that is a ways off. Or more likely, the Suns try to hide him in a big trade package this summer.

Another possibility, the Suns and Knight learn to like each other. :)

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I don't want to hold onto him until his contract is expiring. I'm just hoping that some team would possibly take him for an expiring contract. I'm no Knight fan, and it seems like his value is not there now, but I don't think that it is unrealistic that someone could take a chance on him at some point in the not-too-distant future, thus giving us cap room. If you just cut him, you lose that as a possibility.

Ah gotcha. I think it's SUPER unlikely any team wants that piece of garbage, especially at his contract number.

Then again, there's a new Isiah Thomas-level idiot running the Lakeshow now, so hope springs eternal!

If he plays well enough to attract a suitor, his contract will be a selling point.

I just hope Sarver read the article, he might learn something.
