Be interesting to see if can drag his team to a winning series in the playoffs... they're going to face the Rockets and Hardin...
I don't know how Westbrook doesn't get the MVP. He's having not just the best year in the league but literally one of the most insane years EVER... for a team that's probably going to win 48 games and get to the playoffs... with pretty much ZERO help. That's an MVP.
I don't know if you guys remember Boban Marjanovic playing for the Spurs last year. When GMs were throwing silly contracts around last summer the Pistons offered Boban to 3 yrs, 20 mil. He went to Pops and asked him what he should do and Pops told him, "Yes, 20 million is more than 1 million, take it!" I thought the Pistons were quite astute as Marjanovic had destroyed us in a late stretch but mainly he's a big (7'3, 290) who can shoot FTs so they can sit Drummond when the opps start fouling him every time down. But no, he sits on the bench - about 200 minutes of PT. Once they were eliminated from the playoffs they start playing him and he goes 12/18 FGs, 12 bds against Houston in 28 min, for the win. Today he's their leading scorer again against the Griz, 4/6 FGs, 6/7 FTs and 10 bds in 23 min. Win again.

It is an interesting development. I am a bit skeptical of wins and points scored this time of year. Anomalies happening everywhere with teams eliminated, tanking and resting.
totally agree. All the comments about stat padding seem silly to me. He is the only player on the team. He is getting double digit assists AND leading the league in scoring.

So what, James Harden is having a better year than Westbrook.
Because Harden is putting up better numbers on a better team.

32, 10.4 and 10.6
29.2, 11.1, and 8.1
I can see if you said Harden's numbers are similar, but not better.
Also. The Thunder are the 9th best defensive team in the league and their defense is better when Westbrook is on the floor.
That is sketchy since the Heat are in a tight race.RealGMVerified account@RealGM 7m7 minutes ago
Cavaliers To Sit Big 3 Against Heat: http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/245571/Cavaliers-To-Sit-Big-3-Against-Heat…
The difference in shooting percentages is huge.
The difference in shooting percentages is huge. It is bigger than the gap between Westbrook and Andre Roberson who might be the woest shooter ever.
I would say that difference in shooting percentages isn't nearly as crucial in this equation as the difference in talent among their teammates. Harden has a much better team.the difference in shooting percentage is "huge"?
https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/stats/bycategory?cat=Fielding&sort=25
Westbrook is shooting 42.6% from 2 and 34.4% from 3.
Harden is shooting 43.9% from 2 and 34.6% from 3.
Only in the land of Magic Johnson isn't a PG can a difference in shooting percentages of 1.3% AND .2% be considered HUGE.
That's beyond ridiculous.
I mean, if that's the case, then Westbrook's advantage over Harden in scoring and rebounding is GIGANTIC!

D'Angelo Russell is excused from the team to be with family after his grandmother died. It wouldn't be surprising if he missed final 2 games
