and i'm not saying that I dislike the pick. Just not sure I want him starting this year with so much on the line.

Well he won't be handed the position. Gotta beat out AQ Shipley. I am more worried that we will essentially have 2 rookies potentially starting on OL, experience-wise.

Duane Starks just announced the Raven's pick... I bet he must have gotten injured somehow with the distance he had to cover to get to the podium, what a bust in free agency he was

I think Evan Boehm could have been drafted with our late third round pick and it would not have been a reach in my opinion :)

Still hoping for Scooby... even though he went down South. Or Westerman. Or both.

(Interesting that Judon just went.)

Maybe Nate Sudfeld with one of our 5th round picks
Interesting QB stats. He's 6'5" and BA likes big guys with arms.
Sudfeld leads the Big Ten in passing yards per game (289.5; 17th nationally), passing yards (3,184; 22nd), total offense per game (293.2; 20th), total offense (3,225; 25th), passing efficiency (153.9; 18th), yards per completion (14.5; 5th) and yards per attempt (8.8; T-14th), is tied for first in touchdowns (24; T-22nd), is second TD-INT ratio, is tied for third in fewest interceptions (5) and is tied for fourth in completion percentage (60.7). - Indiana Football

IN OUR VIEW: Sudfeld has the size and arm strength every scout is looking for, but he's not as accurate as his production in Indiana's up-tempo spread offense would indicate. The traits are there to develop, however, and in an average draft class, he could generate middle-round interest with the hopes of ultimately competing for a starting role.

Sources Tell Us

"I love his size and he made that senior jump that we like to see. He takes you on a ride because one week you really like him and the next time you see him you see a career backup at best. I've got an average backup grade on him, but we'll see what our coaches say about him." -- AFC West scout NFL Comparison

Sean Mannion Bottom Line

Veteran quarterback with the desired frame for the position and coming off of his best year yet. Sudfeld tends to push the ball rather than deliver with a clean weight* shift and follow through, creating inconsistencies with accuracy and velocity. There is some solid tape on Sudfeld that could give NFL teams hope, but issues with making the right reads will work against him.

Geeze these NFL Newborn Fan Club commercials are trying really hard to convince us there is such thing as "lifelong" Seahawks fans.
