I'm still amazed by how many people are actually defending the Bengals. I suspect if instead of the Steelers it had been say... the Packers who had been in that spot I think reactions would be very different. If Brown had been Larry Fitzgerald then reactions here would probably be apocalyptic.

The Gio play was iffy, a penalty could maybe should have been called, but it was hardly cut and dry. There certainly didn't appear to be any intent and Gio had caught the ball and was turning, the Steeler player came in arms out going for a tackle, was not targeting. While Burfict was trying to nothing more than take a guy's head off whom he knew didn't have the ball. Also, as pointed out earlier, about half the Bengals coaching staff was on the field when Gio was hurt... but none of the Steelers players were quite as stupid as Pacman Jones and tried to box them.

Furthermore, Porter was talking to an official and heading towards the sideline, what started the back and forth exchange with Bengals players was this:

The Bengals reap what they sow. You build a team of cheap shot taking idiots who have no self control or situational awareness... and you deservedly lose as your team loses its composure because they got penalized for trying to cripple someone.

If I'm not mistake that guy who bumps Porter is 95 Gilberry. Earlier in the game after the injury to Gio, they showed him on the sideline screaming and swearing his butt off and he yelled out a threat that you couldn't quite make out but the end of it he clearly said "tell him I said that too."

So not at all surprised to see him on the field intentionally bumping Porter later like that.

I almost feel sorry for Marvin Lewis, they told us repeatedly he'd warned Burfict over and over to settle down, but what can he do, he's one of his better players as the INT earlier showed. If he benches him and the replacement blows a play he'll never here the end of it. At some point you just have to say an NFL player should not be so stupid that does the kinds of things Burfict does.

He lowered his shoulder and extended his elbow to make sure he hit Brown in the head. It won the game for the Steelers but now they probably don't get Brown cleared for the next game, it's completely wrong and the Bengals deserve what they got there.

I did wonder how you get a penalty for bumping a guy who's not supposed to be out there but that was pretty blatant and Pacman made it worse and apparently someone bumped a ref they said too. There IS a reason Carson Palmer wanted out of there so badly.

Marvin Lewis picks these losers. Its not different than your buddy who continually dates cheating ****** thinking he can change them. Its at least partially his own doing.

The Bryant TD catch (butt catch, or whatever people started calling it) shouldn't have been a TD, according to the NFL. Nice of them to mention that a week later. The refs are atrocious, and I'm not just talking about this game. They review every scoring play, and somehow still missed this.

Totally agree. Not a catch.

So much for Brown faking his injury. That was just ridiculous.
