Boras is the one killing the integrity of the game. "Hey, my client had three really good months on the job, he deserves 200,000,000.00 dollars right now."

Options for the big names are limited without suitors. I think taking a 1 year deals and trying again next year would save face unless they are willing to bite the bullet and accept to what they and Boras feel is below market value but next year may be no different for them if bigger names like Harper & Machado end up on the market.
