GREAT 4th round pick. I know a lot about him, listening to sports radio here in the 'Burgh. This kid is an incredible interior lineman. Equally good in pass pro and in the run game. He's one of the main reasons Pitt has had such a great run game. I LOVE this pick.
Agreed..... Tons of Pitt guys in my circle and they LOVE him.

I think looking back on this draft in 4 years from now, this could be viewed as our best pick.

If Stout likes him then I'm on board

Man, Keim is on fire! So many of us had Dorian Johnson in our Day 2 mocks and with good reason. He is the most pro ready guard in this draft. This allows the coaches to move Evan Boehm back to center where he belongs.

Mitch, you think he'll play RG? I think he might play LG and move Iupati over to RG.

Ha! Not all of us wear blinders, my friend :D So you think every single pick of ours so far is going to start, eh? We'll see how that works out. Hell, where's our FIRST ROUNDER starting?
That's more like it.

I said "contribute immediately or push to start".

RG for sure, WisconsinCard. It will be good to have him between two veterans in Shipley and Veldheer. May switch to LG when Iupati retires.

This is the Cards' choice I like the best. He is awesome. I had him and Lamp even. He was health flagged for a liver issue (my people indicate it's controllable). He never missed a start in 4 years of college. He can pass block and he's a pile driver when run blocking. His has longer arms than Doc Ock. He always gets a hand on a rusher and is great at redirecting them. He is a boulder when anchoring. He's been playing on the left side but he's likely fine moving to the right. It wouldn't shock me if he starts game one.

He excels at run blocking. He pulls effortlessly and always squares up before contact. He expects to get to the second level, throwing aside his level one guy and re-engaging with vengeance. He can occasionally run past people but far more often chooses the right target. This guy is a huge plus for the David Johnson. Once they get used to blocking/running style this will be a powerful combo. Dorian will start for a long time. It's a huge break to save the money of getting him this late.

He is somewhat susceptible to spin moves, so he's better staying at guard where his mass makes this move less of a threat. He's so well conditioned he can likely even add some weight without losing agility. Tony Pauline (good evaluator, former NFL scout) had him as the number one guard.
