i never really know

even knowing preseason means little: post Bears game i thought they hadnt fixed anything and it was going to be 6-10

post Atlanta, I'm thinking 10-6

I think their schedule sets up for 10 wins or better, even with all the 10 am starts:

I like that two of the 10 am starts are at the beginning.
Getting the Colts without Luck is a break.
I like the way the games vs the NFC east go: home against the two better teams
I like that the Cards dont play SF and LA (new HCs and systems) until both have shown their hand on film.
I like that the Cards get Detroit and SEA gets GB on the road
I like that the Cards get what looks like the best AFC south team (Tenn) at home
I like the bye in the middle of the season

I sure hope you guys at 11+ are correct. I'm worried about the inconsistency that plagued this team last year. Certainly Seattle & maybe LA beating up Palmer is possible. Seattle is putting the offense on Wilson's shoulders but that O'line can run block. Glad that's not in the first two weeks. The Cards' defense needs to gel.

I agree the Bucs have improved but I don't think they're ready to win in AZ. I think it might be a tough game but if the Cards can't win that one forget the playoffs. If I played that fantasy stuff I'd take Winston.

I think Tenn is much improved and should win that division.

The Cards figure to play mostly close games. A few mistakes usually tilt those games. If the Cards make the playoffs anything goes at that point. I do think this is a good team with a few great players; not a great team.

Here's why I like my 11-5 prediction:

~The schedule out of the gate is friendly. Two games against SF, one against Dallas at home with a hundred suspensions, including Zeke, one against Indy likely w/o Andrew Luck, and a neutral site game against Rams (basically, we lose a road game). Could be 6-2 or 7-1 going into the Seahawks game at home

~Without Andrew Luck, the AFC South is doo doo, except for Tennessee, and that game is at home

~Rams and 49ers are not ready to compete this season

~The team figured out how to manage Carson Palmer. He looked fresh in preseason

~David Johnson is arguably the most lethal offensive weapon in the game

~John Brown is healthy, and that's almost as important for the totality of the offense as David Johnson

~Top 3 secondary in the NFL. I think we get 2015 Badger back. He's healthy and rejuvenated

~Special teams will not be #32 in the NFL.

~This team has no pressure whatsoever. That could not have been said last season after "All or Nothing." 2016 was a humbling experience for both the team and fans.

I'm not ready to say that after a handful of snaps against Atlanta. I'm even less likely to say that it's going to be true 12-14 games into the season. John Brown was sidelined for what felt like a month after a handful of training camp practices. Who knows what happens when he actually gets hit?

I think people are really underrating how good Seattle's going to be this season. They were 10-5-1 last year and got better this offseason. We beat them by 10 points at their house when they were missing their most dynamic defensive player.

I caught part of Mike and Mike this morning (I know, I know, it's Mike and Mike), but they both picked Seattle to play in the SB.:madarms:. I hope that ain't so.

We also beat them the other two times when ET3 was healthy, including their SB season. Only L was when Stanton had to start.
I'm honestly at the point where I'm way more comfortable beating them in their stadium than in ours.

I am fan ... I don't give a rat's anus what 'dispassionate analysis' implies. Until proven wrong, my prediction is :

@Lions - W
@Colts - W
Cowboys - W
49ers - W
@EAGLES - W
Bucs - W
@Rams - W
@49ers - W
Seattle - W
@Texans - W
Jags - W
Rams - W
Titans - W
@Redskins - W
Giants - W
@Seahawks - W

a win after the bye week, a win in the NFC championship and, of course, a win in the Super Bowl.

so far, I am 100% correct in my prediction.

And we were missing maybe our most dynamic defensive player, HB. The badger is back baby and he is going to set an NFL record of picks in a single season.

Wait a minute I'm going to that game, so factoring that in we could lose that game.
Yeah Mike you're gonna have to quit going to the road games I go too. Lol :moon:
Turn your frown upside down cause the streak is gonna end in cheesesteak land!!!

Hope to have a dinner & a few drinks with you & the wifey there :mrgreen:

I agree with 11-5, but:

- Zeke IS playing against us & that changes everything.

- the AFC South may not be as doo doo as you think. Titans will give us a game IN Arizona, and we will definitely lose at Houston. Marrone will make Jacksonville a team to be reckoned with. Hopefully, it won't happen until next year.

- John Brown is healthy??? I really don't think that will ever be the case. He will battle injuries his whole career.

- can we count on Badger staying healthy? History says no.

- special teams may not be 32, but still a concern until proven otherwise.

I almost said the Titans was a loss but I figure that Mariotta will be on IR by then and the Cards will eke out a win :) I guess that means I think they will go 10-6. I figure they will lay an egg against the Rams or 49ers so I chose the Rams game as a loss. I would not be surprised to see them drop one or both games against the 49ers either. They could go 7-9 just as easy as 10-6. That defense is very suspect IMO.

Unless Plummer comes out of retirement, we will definitely lose to the Eagles in Philly. No doubt about this one.

The Eagles don't appear to have a RB, Alshon Jeffery will be hurt by the time we play them, their best CB bites on double moves and the others couldn't make the Cards roster, their LB's are okay and I fully expect BA to out coach Doug P.

I think the Cards win 8-10 games this season, 9-7 specifically.

Look a like the 7-9 end of the spectrum from my prediction. Not good but not bad enough to get that QB we need.
